and charon haha didnt see that one. and only thing is the vettes are so small that they're ridiculously unsafe! evo is about my price range though, about 27k to 30k (30k being very top of the scale, only if there is some reason that requires to spend that)

If that is your price range, and you want an Evo, see if you can find a used 8 or 9 in good shape and mod it to the level you want. Don't buy a X, put a body kit on it, and look like a ricer without the true power (stock) to smoke many sports cars out there. If the looks are your goal, check out a RalliArt. They look almost identical to the X but are much cheaper.

If 30k is the budget and you want to go fast and own an Evo, buy used and mod it. If you want to spend 30k and be done, get another sports car. You could also check out WRXs or something of that nature and debadge them...

Would I have bought an Evo at your age if I could afford it, probably not. They are just not that much of a girl magnet (but do attract guys, unfortunately) and are a money pit. Figure out exactly what you want and are willing to pit up with from a car you drive every day and go from there.

Yea with the questions u asked u need the accord. Save up get school over get a good job then buy a performance car. I been with only one girl that new what performance cars were she new right away what a evo was. That was a big turn on to me and to her that i was into cars. But most wont care what u drive so dont try and be that kid with buying a car to get girls. Ur still young save the money to take the girls out. Or better yet have some game and pick up a rich girl in SD and have her drive u around in her car. I use to live in Meramesa and Right next to the Qualcom stadium. So i know theres a ton of hot rich girls there

Vettes aren't any more unsafe than an Evo and you can get one for less than 30k. If your main concern is getting a chick magnet car then an Evo is definitely not your car.

As far as your lack of kudos to those that weren't giving opinions to your liking then I suggest you grow up. As a father of a high school senior I would never allow my son to purchase such a high horsepower car with his lack of driving experience. That would be negligent on my part and I hope that your parents would hopefully have some apprehension about your buying such a car. Regardless if you or your parents can afford such a car, it's too much power for such an inexperienced driver.

well here's my criteria: Fun to drive, safe (thats my only problem with the 8 and 9, side airbags - otherwise i would probably be 1000% sure on this!), reliability since it needs to start every time i need it to, agility/performance (so a small car with a capable power), a coupe or sedan, doesn't matter, and a non-ridiculous cost. so I think that the ix/viii might be the best match, the only problem being safety.

but chem: if you're the father of a high school senior and are driving an evo, maybe it's YOU that needs to grow up! pick up a ****ing BMW, porsche, Volkswagen, lexus, acura, infiniti - anything! and grow a pair! you shouldn't be driving a car made for men up to the age of 35 or so with a huge *** spoiler on it! jesus, all you have to do when young is to get a good education, work hard in school, get a well paying job and raise a nice family! i understand that you might not be able to afford the luxuries of a nice car such as a porsche 911 like my father can, but sitting on your *** all day on a forum just to criticize others parenting and assuming a lack of driving experience is just sad! my father didnt grow up and inherit his wealth, he earned it! he lived on a farm in indiana! now sure, maybe i'm not living his life, but at least I'm working hard in school and getting good grades! not waiting for obama to start "Robbin for the Hood"so I can finally have some money to spend on an evo! jesus man, seriously, get a ****ing life and a ****ing job and teach your kid something more than that it's ok to be a fat *** slob who sits at the computer all day on internet forums! how the **** do you like that, *******???

Wow. You have just shown your *** and how immature you are. Young man, you have a lot to learn about how life actually works. I suggest you go sit down and have a long discussion with your parents and show them this thread. Do they even know what kind of cars you are considering? I'm trying to save your parents from possibly having the worse day in their life by receiving a knock at the door from the local law enforcement describing how their son is dead due to lack of due care.

BTW I'm a 21 year Army veteran who just recently retired so I don't have to work.

This post if just full of fail. Every stupid insult you have made is %100 false.

Obviously you are uneducated about this car...i should have known with all the stupid questions you have asked. hell you wanted to put a body kit on an evo. Who the hell are you to judge?

Go buy an accord, the evo community dosnt want anyone like you. Chances are you suck at driving and couldn't handle an evo anyway.

Ok check it out hero, its not that everyone is trying to be rude to you. Maybe you should look how you started this thread. Regardless of any questions concerning woman, or as you put it "GIRLS" a car should not have anything to do with it. Its called being able to pick up woman with the confidence and morals you have. In your terms, GAME. If you are financially set, and you really want an EVO, then go for it. But an EVO is not a cheap car. Ill use me as an example, I am a Staff Sergeant in the Army, been to Iraq 3 times, I am still currently in Iraq, and I make enough money to live off, and even I find it difficult sometimes to have an EVO. I am also buying a house, I have a wife and two kids. I waited until I as a MAN can pay for everything on MY own. Still is not easy. Now you say money is not an issue, so does this mean money is not an issue for your parents. Because i'm sure you being a young kid in high school does not make much money. People here on this thread are simply saving you the heart ache by telling you to wait. Besides nothing is wrong with a Honda Accord. You will save alot more money on insurance and payments on this, as well as mods will come much easier. And you can easily make an accord just as quick as an average evo. I have owned three nice Civics in my past, and i turbo'd all of them, and they were very quick, and very nice. Thats what i started on. Now that I have a career and waited patiently for an evo, I now own one, as well as a K6 GSX R 750. Be patient little guy, you will be happy with a Honda. I know I was. And im sure everyone in here will agree. Focus on your homework for now, worry about an EVO when you are older and you start to become independent and start making your own money.
