verrry noob clutch and tranny question

if you feel the car slipping at hi rpms(not tires but tranny /clutch. does it mean my your clutch need to be replaced?? sorry for the awfull nooooob question but the reason im asking is becasuse ive heard that your car slips in low rpm also first when your clutch is wasted or gone, or does it slip at hi rpms first?

if its the clutch try the 5th gear test . if the rmp jump and go back down is your clutch...

The clutch will most likely start slipping in higher gears first. As it gets worse it will slip in lower gears.

If yours fails the test recommended in post #2 then u should get on top of ordering a clutch for your setup.

what if your in 5th and it goes from 3800 rpm to redline but doesnt really seem to catch again. the only way it catches if i let go of the gas wait a little then give it a little bit of gas then itll catch and go up on rpm slowly without punching it.

Then your clutch is worn to hell and needs to be replaces asap!

maaan thanks for the great info. good thing that i have a new exedy twin and a act hdss with a spare tranny.....you cant be tooo prepared.
