Very good point, dont you know that some dealerships will say little bull****. they expect you not to know or to do your own research about this car and then they will try to use that as an excuse to make you pay money out of your pocket. If it has warrantee make sure its a full warantee. If its the warantee is good you shouldnt have a problem. If you do they will try to make problems for you by using every excuse in the book not to help you.

the clutch seems fine, took the car to my mechanic and he says the clutch is good and everything is good and its a good price, defnt neeeds a repsray but mechanically and the interior wise it is in great condition. I ended up trading in the OZ for 3k :-/. not bad for no ac and power steering and a frankenstein swap i guess. so im financing 10,800 at 280 a month. I also got the three year warranty that covers the whole drivetrain so im excited about this. i plan to pay the evo off before the warranty is over, and then start modding . Thanks for all the advice guys, i knew it was a good deal once he threw in a warranty, since ill be worry free for 3 years.

i really dont think you should spray the enitre car WW. The red is a beautiful color on the evo and would be WAY cheaper to paint damaged areas red than the entire car a completely different color.

true evo color is rally red (at least the rally evos lol) so keep it that way...honestly from what i have read it seems like a steal because with 40k miles for $13k is waaaaaaayy to low. Evos with 40k miles go for aorund $16k-20k depending on upgrades, so good luck and hopefully no one has messed with the miles..

okay i was worried about them messing with the miles too. i said, "show me the carfax" and everything looks good, says the odometer doesnt seem to be tampered with. but i guess i have 3 years to see if it breaks down on me. One thing i did notice is that there is a whining noise from the transfercase or transmission but it only happens in first gear. i hope it goes out during the warranty if its going to go.

1st gear trans whine is quite common in 03' evos... nothing to worry about... mine has been doing it since i got it 4 years ago, and it still runs perfect... if you search this topic you can see alot of people agree... congrats on your purchase and GL wit it!

man there are tons of people that would kill just to own an evo, any color any condition. if you end up spending a few dollars on fix up who cares. You still own one of the baddest tuner platforms on the planet. ENJOY!!

YEA! thats what i was thinking haha all the other 03s with low milage are going for 15+!! so hopefully the wing can be recleared and the spots can be fixed up a little, how much do you guys think a respray of the same color would cost?

I wouldn't respray it, it'll be uneven and you could tell it was repainted because it wouldn't match perfectly.... I'd either leave it as is or repair the whole thing..
