That seems like a GREAT Deal. I had the same car, same color. Repaint it the factory color, otherwise when you pop the hood they will see RED and it'll look ghetto and lower the value more. 40K is amazing deal. I say do it.

yea i thought about painting it the same color, but the red doesnt appeal to me much and if im going to dish out 2000+ i might as well get the color i want.

Okay ive been driving around tonight and noticed that the car cuts off after 5k rpm, it sort of stutters, then i have to change gears. i dont think it did this before they worked on it, maybe they put the wrong spark plugs in?

From what I read you got a great deal on this. 40k miles is very low wow thats only 5.7k a year. I suggest you do yourself a tune-up, that way you will also know more about what has been done and not. Enjoy!

Okay I'll gap them friday, I'll ask if they changed the spark plugs. I'm pretty sire they did since it wasn't cutting like this before it went in to the shop. Also should I unhook the vac lines from the mbc an hook it up to the stock controller ?

UPDATE
checked the gap, they were all wrong. i got new plugs and gapped them at 22 and no more misfiring.

im loving this car so far and decided to keep it red and will repaint it red once its paid off, i feel bad saying this but maybe there will be a bad hail storm or something along those lines and the insurance will treat me to a paint job.

Another thing i noticed is it is running VERY rich, i pulled the maps and theyre not stock they are modified at the higher loads and rpm cells. but its running rich, theres no knock in my logs but it blows black smoke when i shift. it has an APEXI turbo timer/AFR gauge but im not sure if its wideband or narrowband. its showing about a 10.2 afr at WOT. should i change the maps back to stock and hook it up to the stock boost controller? or leave it as is, i dont want to modify it until the warranty is over .

Sounds like the car was modded and then returned back to stock. Get the stock maps in there. They have them for free on this site.

I don't think is a great deal from what I remember seeing when I was shopping. Given I live in Indiana so the prices might vary some. I would keep looking and give the dealer time to work a better deal.

If it were my car i would just find a local tuner to custom tune the car as it sits. since you dont know what has been done to the car in the past. That way it will be just right!
