Mod input please...

Hey guys, wanted to hear your input on my planned mod list and see it will hit my goals. I'm shooting for 430-450hp and about 380-400tq to the wheels. I'm looking for a broad tq range with minimal spool time. I'll be running 93 pump but may want to upgrade to e85 down the line (This isn't a priority though). I'm looking to make it a highway/street monster while occasionally taking it to a hpde. My car will be used as a DD so it must be reliable and comfortable I'm not looking to build the motor anytime soon (Maybe after 30-40k miles). The car only has 600 miles on it so far and I have done the following:

Cobb UICP & LICP
Cobb SF Intake
Cobb Intake Elbow
Cobb Full Turbo Back Exhaust
Cobb AP Stg 2 OTS tune

The next round of mods I'm planning on are:

FP Green or CBRD BBX? (Input?)
FIC 1100 Injectors
Walbro 255
AMS FMIC
Grimmspeed 3 port
Cobb protune
SSP Performance 500hp trans kit

Possibly MAP tubular exhaust manifold? (Input?)

Please keep in mind I'm only asking for input to hit my power goals. I already have the suspension and brakes covered. I would just like to know if I will hit my target goal with those mods. Thanks in advance!

A Green or BBX can reach those power goals, but you'll definitely be pushing it and will have to max out your setup with all the proper supporting mods. You'll want to also look into cams. You definitely have a nice base set of mods already done so that's a good start.

You may want to look into other injector and pump options. Cobb seems to favor DW injectors and go with Bosch in-tank pumps. DW also has a new 300lph pump coming out soon (January).

I personally wouldn't worry about the SSP clutch discs until your stock discs start slipping; ask Cobb for their beta SST tables though.

You'll also want to look into an o2 eliminator downpipe (AMS and MAP both make nice ones, just depends if you want a bell-mouth or divorced wastegate design).

Side note: Hope to see you at lunch this Sunday and dinner next Tuesday!

Thanks for the reply! I'll have to talk to the guys at Cobb about the fuel system. I was hoping to hold off on the SSP kit for a while too. That saves me some $.

I'm still undecided on which turbo to go with. I'll keep researching but there is much less info on the BBX vs the Green so I may just stick to what's tried and true.

As for the downpipe, why would it benefit me to go to a o2 elim vs keeping the Cobb one I already have?

P.S- I plan on going next Tuesday, not sure if I can make it out Sunday since that's normally family day for me.

I'd personally go the CBRD route, I really like their line of BBK/BBX turbos.

The Cobb downpipe is just a downpipe, it doesn't replace the factory o2 housing (turbo outlet to some) too. Sticking with the Cobb downpipe is fine, but you'll want to look into a separate aftermarket o2 housing then too. I know Megan makes one, but other than that I'm not too sure what else is out there. I can't speak to the gains of an o2 housing or downpipe alone, but my o2 elim downpipe got me 9whp/5wtq on Cobb's dyno.

I really like the AMS and UR downpipe/o2 combos..

I ran the megan setup on my X, and didnt see any increases over stock (I dont recall) but was still able to make 400whp with it

Looks like I'll just get the Megan O2 housing... Thanks again for the info!

I'll post what route I end up taking.
