would you go with the hks turbo on top of all of them? im not planning on doing an engine build anytime soon. the black and red i feel are going to be too much lag for me... i like when you hit the gas it goes... like when your in 5th gear at 40mph and you floor it it goes no where... i want power on DEMAND EDIT: With an evo

but based on the fact your hta green numbers were so low, expect your hks numbers to be just as low if not lower. ive done 450 on the green with 93oct on 2-3 guys now.

Their mod lists where like this: full turbo back exhaust + o2 dump, ecu boost control, bov, intake, injectors & pump, decent size cams, 3"+ fmic, lower icp.

so maybe your car wasn't tuned to its max potential if it got stuck at 360, or the fuel is not good quality? i would look into different cams also as your hks 272 are pretty mild cams.

with whatever you choose good luck. just keep in mind the turbo is not just the only key component to making power, your mods all must work together to make good power.
The 364 whp 332 wtq was from my older evo 8!

the evo i own now made 310 whp i forgot the tq but it was on a EXTREMELY low reading mustang dyno... i used the accessport and weighed myself in at 3200 with a 3rd gear pull and got 407 tq and 385 hp

so i think 450 its possible for the hks turbo but idk!? and i wont know til i order the damn thing haha

well if you were in my shoes and had lets say 2000$ what would you spend it on?

well for 500whp id get the black, but a fp green will make 450 on 93oct if you get better cams and have way quicker spool.

the hks turbo is exactly like a stock 9 turbo except its ball bearing and allows for about 30whp more then a 9 turbo. it spools about the same.

so if you really want 500 id say if i were you id get a black + better cams + ecu boost, so you can force more boost uptop and maintain good power.

93 + meth should give about the same result as say 98octane or slightly less. really depends on the jets and etc.

Tom my friend has it ans driven it plenty if times not knocking it but it doesn't compare to a t3 on a 2.4 the black is nuts..Also don't even try to compare mikeys car cause that setup is very unique.

What feels better the t3 or stock framed?

Still in the process of the swap. Missing a few fittings. I can't wait though.

I've seen numerous dump sheets with the red making over500, why is no one saying the red as an option? Is it at the very end limits of the turbo? The new green hta's can make over 500 too from what I've seen.

Is the black really needed?

Thanks

With stock block and 93 oct. I suggest a BBK-B or FP Red...both turbos will be more fun then an FP black on your setup. Or maybe look into the new ATP stock frame turbos...

why would i compare someone elses setup when i have my own to compare to? my car actually did 590 @ wastegate with a creep to 29psi.

I wouldn't talk crap on a fp black, because it will pull just as hard as your turbo till redline. the fp black doesn't fall on its *** or anything like you're making it out to do.

fp black is a stock frame 35r with quick spool pretty much.

it really depends on the setup of the car.. but 500 on a red with e85 is very realistic and has been done dozens of times.. but on 93oct? i dont think so.. and if so very rare.

ive seen 500 on a hta green a few times but with e85 or high octane fuel only.

I know what hes talking about.Had a fp black before I prefer the bigger turbos better. If you slap this black on 2.0 liter you would be better off having a t3 setup anyday..The fp black is a poormans 35 r its

still a stock framed with a Tiny 10.5 hotside with no top end what you put it against a big turbo also the boost drops off bigtime very hard to keep boost maintained ..
