So yeah like the title says, picked up a 2014 Cosmic Blue GSR Today. Blew my evo 8 motor last year so it feels good to be back in a Evo. Got a few questions though!

Is there an aux cable link? On the touch screen it has an aux area to select aux but i've checked all over and cant find one. Took me a while but I found the USB connection hidden by the glovebox. So much space elsewhere on the dash, not sure why the hid it there.

For 2014 did they change something with the stock gearbox? I remember driving an 08 evo x and a few of my friends 10's and 11's and the gear box feels like a honda. Long throws, Loose, Notchy, etc. This gear box definitely feels a lot tighter and easier to shift. I've mis shifted multiple times in friends evo x's trying to find 3rd gear, have not had one issue with my car. It only has 96 miles btw.

Oh and is it normal to smell funny? I'm guessing thats the engine just breaking itsself in? All my other cars have been pre owned, this is my first brand new car.

 

It'll smell funny for about 1k then normal. Not sure on your other questions, but enjoy the car they are a lot of fun.

oh ok cool. Figured it would go away eventually after the first oil change. Def gonna have fun, I hit the canyons a lot so it will be a touge monster as my other evo was ^___^

yeah I found the usb...just dunno where the aux input is. if there is one. hmm. gotta look some more.

yeah its the smell from the exhaust/engine. the interior smells new as hell ha.

since its stock i'll only take cell pics lol. Not breaking out my real camera until its dropped on some wheels with exhaust. should be done soon

Thanks! Yeah I cant wait to modify it. It will probably sit in my garage for a month. I cant stand driving it stock. Rally lift, no exhaust so its quiet, cant hear the bov, etc etc. I'd rather wait for mods lol.

I too have a 14 X and was wondering the same thing bout the AUX cable when I first got it, but now I either use Bluetooth or USB (when needing to charge phone) when listening to music. Still have yet to find that aux hole lmao

 

see man thats that BS! lol. how you gonna tease us with the AUX option.
Imma do a search right now and see what I find.

Well thats good to know, looks like i'll just order the part and get it installed. Or If I get lazy and dont go that route I'll just use bluetooth. Cheaaa!
