Worked

since I was 15 I worked at a pizza shop every second of my life until now. At 18 I bought my first car, 2013 pitch black Dodge Dart 1.4t limited 6 speed for $25,400 cash. Had every package possible cause I like to drive my cars in comfort so the money is well spent. A year after owning the Dart I dropped off my first girlfriend and coming back I lost control on a turn, totaling and almost killing myself. Insurance gave me 20 back on my car which I was happy with because that's literally depreciation of driving off the lot for a year and paying gas and insurance on the car. A month later I found myself putting down a down payment of 25k on my 42k MSRP Whicked White X. Kinda the best and worst mistake of my life cause I spend my money on mods and payments and insurance. Word of advice like everyone else says. Do not buy the car if you don't have 3-5k sitting around. Over that year I had to buy a new clutch after 5k of driving....3k job right there....stock Tires are **** and don't last long. 600+ right there. Maintanece isn't bad on the car just keep up with it and your car won't hate you, we all should know that. Do what pleases you if you want your dream car at 18/19 that none your friends have so be it. Just be ready to get railed with costs. It was worth it to me cause I'm stupid like that. Oh and insurance for me at 19 on my parents is 1850/six months. Don't be fooled with I can afford it in my mind but on paper you can't. Giving up your car after so long because you can't afford it will make you bite your ***.

MITSU kinda forced the issue:
First by discontinuing the RECAROS and second the EVO itself.....
I toyed with the idea of getting one as a DD last year but backed away as I would have to get an MR and craved more driver involvement plus felt sorry for the abuse I would put it through.
Got a new Jetta GLi instead and put 30K miles on it in 11 months as well as tons of crap from Home Depot and the like in the rear.
So as RECARO clad 2014 stocks dwindled at dealerships across the nation I quickly realized I was in for a rough ride at the mercy of the noble tradesmen patrolling dealer parking lots.
So I purposely focused far from the crowds of desperate last EVO buyers, somewhere south of the arctic circle were they are not so popular or even recognized and appreciated.
Lo and behold there it was: $5,000 off MSRP when everywhere else it was 5K above.
ADD 0% @ 60 months and it is now awaiting my dues to Uncle Sam to get a tagged.
Still not sure if I can afford it but at least when I figure that out I have one !
