Changing my whole interior color scheme! ....... Just go ES!... a set of hot rims and lowering springs will hold you down if you are worried about looks!.. in due time there will be an aftermarket option for the guage cluster (im working on this with a fabrication company) if u buy an OZ and u mod it... with kits and ect.. ur' throwing away your money... PLUSSSSSS another Killer for this discussion... there are OZ owners that are selling their OZ body kits for cheap wayyyyyyy lower then the dealer price... beacause they are buying other body kits.... i would do the oz, just for the fact that it comes with upgrades as it is, and i just dont like to spend money on parts, so if i can get it done at time of purchase, then its all good.
Whatever you decide, its all good

forget moonroof go with roof scoops, dont like the interior then change it, for the 3grand u save off from buying an es instead of an oz u could buy a kit from accolade plus 17' chromes

What about now since you can pretty much get an OZ for the same price as an ES now that our cars have depreciated as much as they have...

yea but theres more miles on a oz if it is close to an es because u can get a 2003 es for under ten grand with less than 10k miles on it but if u get an oz for 10g then theres atleast 30k on it so if u do get a low miles oz it'd b about 3 grand more

personally ive got an oz and i love it, but in your scenario...i'd go for an es. you gotta ditch the stock wheels and throw a body kit on there quick tho! also be careful with rim/tire choice. ive watched es owners throw rims on their car with tires that are just too large. this creates one huge wheel gap between the fender and tire. body kit should be no problem with es or oz. i did mine with a little help in 4 hrs. just basically bolts right on. the only downfall to the es is the interior. personally im not crazy about it. the oz has a sportier look to it. the suspension is a little different between the two, but nothing u cant live without. goodluck with wutever you choose.

If you want a stick shift then go with oz cuz it s hard to find a stick shifter es. In my area, 02-03 Lancers are little bit expensive than 04 Lancers cuz of the look and design.hehe.

Go for the ES cause it's cheaper and if you plan on a body kit you can save the time of taking off the old OZ one

the oz is nice cuz it comes with the power stuff and cruse and what not... but yah the es is cheeper... if you talk to the dealer they will push you on the oz.... but i would talk to them about getting an es with a bodykit added onto your financing (it can be done) allong with a magnaflow catback (if it looks good its gotta sound good too) and some rims and tires... itll prolly come out to about the same $$$... and it would be a way nicer car... thats what i wish i did...
