What can I do?

so at the beginning of july i brought my car in with 5000 miles for an oil change and to make a long story short, they drove it without oil and blew some pistons and did a world of other things to the engine... now i couldnt prove it but they did replace the whole short block under warranty... now after that my mother called lots of people, attornys, the dmv and so on... now they said if anything happens with in 90 days to the car let them know immediatly... so its now july 25th...

the check engine light came on last week (the car goes in tomorrow)... the clutch i believe is going but thats probably my fault i assume and i think thats the case anyway.... everytime i come to a complete stop the rpms drop to almost 0 like the car is going to stall then goes back to 1ish... the car rumbles at idle, its a wierd feeling

also the car now has no power... i hit the pedal and it barely feels like im moving... also my cd player doesnt work, everytime i hit cd the thing, it shows the track number and it just keeps fading back and forth and finally turns itself to the radio, it wont play a cd... only the radio works

the other day i open my glove department to grab the movie i stuck in there and now it wont close... i tried everything, it wont close so thats broken...

and to top everything else off.. the paint on my car is chipping theres about 5 spots of paint chips and theres a tiny one right by the wheels where theres actually rust no less....

now my mother is going to talk to whoever she has been but tomorrow when i go to mitsubishi i mean... i think i might just go crazy... i mean i paid 33,000 dollars for this car and when sh*t like the glove department doesnt close... i just want to throw a brick at mitsubishi

is there any steps i should take with all this... is it possible to get a new car or full value for the car? any ideas on what i can do.. please tell me because im about to snap..

Thank You!

first off, take a deep breath.........in.......out........in.......out... ...There, now one step at a time. You will not rush the issue, just be patient and relentlous. You will accomplish more using your mother to do the business than yourself, being a hot head. Its such a turn off. It will all work out......... They are for more willing to help those with a calm demeanor than someone screaming or wanting to "KILL" one of them.

sorry to say but not everyone has necessary skills to fix problems of the car by themselves...besides, even if you do have the ability, you'll still need to dedicate time and money for parts

i say call up the dealer and try to settle for new evo..if that doesnt work out, then there are always attorneys out there...good luck!

personally, i have had great success dropping $100 on a lawyer just to send a letter. If your problems are truly Mitsu's fault, they cannot prove you wrong, if your problems are caused by YOU, then you are on your own.....

to keep everyone posted, i brought my car to wahngta mistsubishi (spelling) to see what was going on

they told me there were massive problems with the engine but it wasnt anything they couldnt fix but, the problem is they cant fix it under warranty because mitsubishi wont let them

mitsubishi wants us to bring my car back to hempstead and have them fix it since it was a worksmanship error and not a manufacturer error...

i find this absolutly ridiculous, let me bring my car to the people who destroyed it in the first place?

now my mom is going to hire a lawyer... we have to get the car to hempstead now and albany is sending down a representative to watch them fix my car... this is getting way way out of hand

hempstead ruined my car plain and simple.. they still have the short block they replaced at their shop... they havnt sent it in yet to get their money back under warranty because they have no idea what to do with it... they know they ruined it and their trying to figure out the best way to explain what happened so they get their money back..

i just dont understand why wahngta cant just fix it under warranty

whats going to happen is we are going to get rid of this car probably either way once its fixed or not.. now my mother is not wanting to get another mitsubishi because honestly they have done nothing for us... their terrible and thats it

so i really dont know whats going on now but im pretty upset since im car-less yet again and its summer... my car was gone the beginning of july for 2 and half weeks and now probably longer...

i really loved my evo and its a shame people cant do a simple oil change but.. maybe i should start looking at an sti or something

well thats that as of now anyway

WOah, that really sucks bro. I think that is just plane bad luck on your side. I have some rock chips, but no major paint chips at all. My evo is running smooth like usual (knock on wood). I say you get rid of that POS and get yourself an STI. I love my evo, but I totally agree with you staying away from mitsubull****. Goodluck!!! And keep us updated.

yes this is major bull and my family is going to lose money either way... if we sell the car were losing lots if we sue for full value, the amount itd take to hire the lawyer would cost a bit also... so either way were losing money because a simple thing like an oil change that people are trained to do cant accomplish it and then cant man up to it... so yes mitsubishi is absolute garbage
