Reflash would be $225 for a return customer. Including dyno time.

Yes.

However, there is no reason why you should have to go to the dealer for the updates! The updates are available through us here at AMS with the help of ECUTeK. In the unlikely event that there is a major update, you can stop by or send you ECU in and we will take care of it for you.

If you only want to get the latest update installed with your previous tune, I will do it for no charge.

We have yet to complete testing on those parts as a finished product. Until then I would say that I am about 99% sure that you wont have your ECU re flashed at that point. Since you are local, maybe we can work out some type of deal where I toss your car on the dyno and see exactly how it effects your car.

Will the ECUTEK flash prevent me from using ECUFlash in the future?

At this point it is impossible for me to answer that question. It no longer locks you our of the ECU I do believe. I don't know what the rest of the software architecture is like.

Thumbs up

Just a quick report on my AMS reflash experience:

Sent my ECU Wednesday the 25th, got in back at 10 a.m. Friday the 27th (today).
Very quick service, by the time I spoke to AMS at noon Thursday my refash was done and they were ready to ship it back.

The results are excellent. My X has no mods but now the entire rev range is smoother, better throttle response, no hesitation, and it pulls much harder in the upper rev range -- all the way to 7500 rpms. No more falling dead over 6000 like it did before. No CELs, normal idle, it's all good.

I now have a totally stock X with another 40 Plus whp and much better driveability. As others have said, this is what the car should have been straight from Mitsubishi.

This is a no brainer in my opinion -- Get the AMS mail in flash
