wait a minute you want sound suppression or performance? one usually cancels out the other. i've got the ets 3.5 catback and i love how it sounds when i nail it, not for the wimpy.

Best of both worlds i hope.

Nice work. Let me know how the 4 inch works out for you. Post some pics and dyno graphs when you done. I would like to know how it does.

I'm getting the 3.5 and looking forward to some more power now that I wont have a cat.

Like Tom stated, 3.5'' sounds best for you. I am getting there 3.5'' JDM Style system on stock turbo only because I plan on getting the super value kit w/ HTA37R in the future. other than going that big plus no need for 4'' piping

My 3" straight through NO resonator is louder than hell. My friends say they can hear me a mile away. I cannot imagine how loud the 3.5" straight through is without resonators. God forbid even a 4" unit...

I'm thinking of either going back to my RRE stealth or shipping this back to ETS to have the resonator welded in.

Cheers-
E

Well if what Tom said is true about the resonator, I think you should ship it back and get it installed.
I'm trying to make my car as stealth and fast as possible. (stealth looking form the outside.)

The resonator really does make a world of difference for sound suppression and mellows the tone significantly. The tone of our straight through systems is quite aggressive but does so with class in my opinion. The 3.5" system on my EVO lets me know exactly how much fun I'm having at full song, and I love it

I was looking to buy a custom one here locally, but it bolts up to a 3" dp. What would be the point? Do you have a 4" dp?
