61mm surging?

My 61mm surges at partial throttle and was wondering if that was normal.

Whenever I let go of the gas, it goes psstttt.

I wonder if this kind of partial throttle comp surge is normal or should I loosen up my bov all the way.

Thanks.

Greddy Type S

I had this for 2 years and worked fine for me.

The surge is more pronounced at partial throttle.
It seems as if the partially compressed air is not escaping through the bov and going back to the compressor.

It sounds like just like this one

This is E-cover 61mm.

At full throttle, air escapes fine and I only get a little bit of pssttttttttt..

I'm sure my tuner can figure this out, but I want to have a good idea what's causing this.

My car's at the shop at the moment, and it's been doing it during my break-in and post break-in period with some tune.

When is this happening, when you are in 5th on the highway low rpm? Or when you are just cruising in 3rd.

Any gear when I let off the gas from partial throttle.

Now, I'm not mistaken this from BOV.

Bobby,
With the Typs S valves if you have the adjustment screw too far in you can create a surging condition at partial throttle. Loosen it up until that goes away and then tighten it back up to the point of surge, and back it off just a tad.

I knew it was bov related!
I'll try that.

Thanks Tom
