sometimes i think some evo owners forgret that they have their car because of EVOLUTION...through the last 8 Lancer evolutions that has released...did they ever make a bad decision?...

It is still the 4g63!...but a better more powerful version of it, with a better power curve...funny how you guys are also doing the same thing about the IX's front and back end....until you guys realize that they do things to serve a purpose(not just for looks) then theres no point of talking/arguing with you guys....its as bad as trying to get the scoobie guys to say the the Lancer EVolution is better....
preach rigo, preach

I was one of the guys (when I had my o2 es) dissing MIVEC on the RA, didnt like, didnt car for it, thought it was stupid. Now I have a ralliart and i feel soooo stupid for those comments.

I don't know why people are saying 4G63 vs. MIVEC....its a 4G63..WITH MIVEC...it's the same engine WITH variable valve timing. Think of it as 4G63 enhanced...

Shiv - alot of people are all skeptical about the benefits and tunability of the 4G with MIVEC. Are you optimistic or still uncertain about this development?! What are your thoughts?

Thanks, Ron.

I think the only reason MIVEC engines seem hard to tune right now is because there aren't any vendors who've put any time into learning how it works. Honestly, just about all aftermarket vendors only care about DSMs and Evos, and very few have shown interest in working with the MIVEC motor. If the Evo gets a MIVEC head, vendors will be all over it like crack and the tuning options for the MIVEC will be limitless.
