Probably missed this thread too:

Fireball claims that there WILL be a 2007 to bridge the gap, and that it will be a "9.5" or some special edition model. He says this info came from a dealer's meeting that he attended.

You couldn't pay me enough to get a nine right now. I love my eight but I am soooooooo waiting for the 10. Everytime I see those pictures of it on the road it just looks pissed off beyond all belief!

If I had "upgraded" to a nine and took that hit on depreciation I would be banging my head against the wall right now.

The 10 is going to be sick~!

When I bought my IX, the sales guy told me that I should get the MR because there were only 1000 of them made. I stuck with my original decision.

The X still looks like an Audi with a Mazda rear end to me

add in the fact that the 4G63 will be gone and turbo is next to the firewall - I think it looks more like the classic move that car companies have made over the years right when the screw things up big time.

to me it feels more like Mitsubishi is taken the Evo down along with the rest of the ****-poor decisions that they have been making.

My money (and time) is on the 8's & 9's

(I heard yesterday that the Evo 07's are commig, but that the Truck line is in question)

I had been under the impression that we would get a 2007 Evo IX, but I guess nothing until the '08 Evo X.

Everytime I see the pics, I want to cry because its so awful. And why the hell did they use such a terrible color on the prototype? Maroon?!?!?

The new Skyline GT-r in comparison, is absolutely gorgeous.

To add to the mis-information campaign the dealer at the MN auto show said they won't be releasing any EVOs here for a couple years since they don't want it to compete against the new Eclipse Ralliart or something. Who know's what to believe....

You were right to be suspicious, because the guy is completely wrong.

They made 1500 MR editions for the IX.

Maybe he was thinking of the VIII which only had 1000 MR's made, and had the limited production color scheme (grey with grey BBS wheels).

They had a candy apple red EVO on the Fast and Furious 2 DVD. The car is in the special features section. The car looks great!
