Wait for? IX??
I think it's up to your finances..
When I went to Victorville... there are literally 7 rows of Evos... and there are
about 15 Evos per row...
There are more Evos on the lot that I can see than Lancers + Eclipse + whatever
combined... Just save up and buy one when you're ready.
Unless you want the now supposedly ultra rare RSs...

(I got one!
)
What I mean is that for what I have read no more evos are cooming for the 07 because the restrictions... so I have the money to buy the car but I dont know if is the best time to do it

Oh ok back......not sure what happened but I saw myself driving an Evo XX...and that thing can fly.
All we can do is wait to see what Mitsu does.

All production vehicles produced for the US Market after September 1st, 2006, must include side impact airbags as standard equipment. The Evo IX can't have them, without some serious R&D and re-tooling. They are not going to spend the time or money doing that to a car they are not making much longer, while they are working on the X.

What IS required after Sept 1, 2006 is that all passenger vehicles must be equipped with Smart Airbags on the front passenger seat. The system is intended to weigh the passger seat occupant and disable the airbag if a child is sitting there.
This is an important distinction because the new side impact standards would require redesigning the structure of the car whereas the smart airbags just require a weight sensor on the seat and different software for the SRS system. In other words, it would be possible for the current Evo to meet the smart airbag rule with minimal investment. However, it would likely require a costly redesign of the doors and b pillar and/or addition of side airbags in order to meet the 2009 side impact standards.

simple... get the evo maybe a few weeks after the 9.5s come out .. perhaps sumtyms duing september... but im doubting that the prices of the evo are gonna get any lower than it is now. And if your plannign to get the XI around march of next year the prices might be higher. like fjf said get em while the supply is plenty.
At least you guys still have a mitsubishi dealer, two of them in my town actually shut down and closed. That sucks because the nearest one is like 50 miles away and my family has 3
cars. Hopefully a different mitsubishi dealer moves in...soon.

I found this image of the Evo X and I like it a lot more than the concept. I hope this is what it looks like because I am holding off until the X comes out.
