Meaning, if the car has been sitting on the lot for a year and you think you're getting a great deal b/c the dealer knocks 2K off the MSRP. You're actually getting screwed. In terms of value anyway.
This may be true for large volume cars, but it isn't necessarily true for niche production cars. Whether the evo is a niche car is debatable, certainly the Supra was. I would venture to say anyone buying a Mitsubishi for long-term value is misguided. Then again my VW TDI wagon is worth thousands more than what I paid for it 2 years ago, but judging by the evo's lack of fuel efficiency it will not follow the same pattern.

In order for the IX value to increase, the X has to be a turd or Mitsubishi has to decide not to make an X, or even just not import it to the US. I think the first one is possible but somewhat unlikely, the second and third highly unlikely. For what it's worth there is ALWAYS the next and greater car around the corner, so just enjoy the one you have now.

So everything you hear about there being a limited supply if it is not true now will be in 8 months. We currently have about 15 Evos left and we are not getting anymore so what is out there is what is out there! No pressure. I could care less if you buy one from me. However if you are going to get one do it soon so that you can at least get what you want. Everyone should one an evo. I got rid of my first one for another type of vehicle and it was the dumbest thing I ever did so I bought another.
thanks
You're absolutley right, which is why I got my IX, the X will be duppish most likely; meaning different response etc. and production of IX has ceased thus far as far as all sales reps are concerned. Got my IX, and will just have to wait and see what the X is like, I'm sure it will be a good car and all, but platform and power is just gonna be a totally different drive from which this legendary car has evolved from. So says all the articles I've read so, we'll see!
