I'm glad you've posted some real hard facts to back up your statement.

Evo X will be an awesome machine, knows they have big shoes to fill with replacing the 4G63, The 4B11 won't be an engine that flies apart with mods. This is progression not regression, The 4g63 has run it's course in the annuals of great engine's and it will always have it's place in history.

You think Mitsu is putting all this time and effort into releasing a sub-par product??

HECK NO!

They stopped making IX's early so they could focus on the X, and making it the best machine possible. Alot is riding on this as it is a big change. They will make sure they do it right!

They will do plenty of testing to make sure the engine will be fine. Heck, it could be even BETTER than the 4G63. You don't know, so don't rag on it. The AWD system in the X will be another huge improvement.

Have some faith in Mitsu for once. We've all bought there products before!

I suspect that the X will be significantly faster. What will make or break the X vs the IX is weight.

Time will tell which is better.

Maybe the best thing to do is to WAIT and SEE. It's still a EVO no matter what .

An automatic evo?... Paddle shifting just doesn't do it for me.... Stick all the way... I think mitsu is changing the rally car image into something more track.

Well they do use the paddle shifters in WRC, so it's not like that is what would cause the EVO X to loose that "Rally Car" image. I do agree, paddle shifting doesn't do it for me either, I have to go with MT all the way.

I think the big issue some have with the X not having this "Rally Car" image is due to the fact that it's a complete redesign of the car. No one expects or can visualize such design as that of the Evo X to be flying through mud/gravel/snow on these WRC stages. I think that once Mitsubishi gets back to WRC and shows us their version of the WRC EVO X the whole view of EVO X not having "Rally Car" image will change. Because right now everyone only sees an EVO X with cruise control, red interior lighting, and 19" wheels and that's something that wouldn't be in a Rally Car. I think you get my point

Dont like the X looks and it looks bigger than my 9. Need to see it in person. I like X interior and having cruise control.
