EVO X vs IX
I think most people are upset because the X is different, which is to be expected. If it weren't, and looked just like the IX with a few tweaks, people would complain about "more of the same." And do we know for sure every X will include these special features like cruise control? No RS versions with minus the features?
That said, I'm on the line with the paddle shifters. They could be fun I suppose, but then again it still takes zero-skill to drive properly. Maybe it's ego, but I enjoy the fact that if you want to drive an Evo IX you have to know how to drive it. Not that learning to drive a stick is that big of a deal, but becoming good at driving one takes time and effort. Hell, it's cool owning a car that your best friend envies, and can't even drive himself.

X looks the goods to me. its a more sophisticated, "design" oreintated look. in other words mitsubishi cares enough about its future to make its evo brand a global success.
perhaps not in the eyes of the tuner community which i understand because the 4G63 is a classic and the purity of the IX might never be again.

overall, i think mitsubishi did a good job. very hard to replicate a classic and they have moved away a little from their roots but im sure its still a very quick car with great handling. september is too long away...
As of right now,
Why do are you still all for the IX over the X (majority of us). Please only state confirmed facts, not ones pulled out of who knows where.
I think the X looks like garbage... Too Futuristic and too many designs. Let the car be what it is made for. Let it Evolve. Let it be an Evolution and Evolve into a faster version, not a luxurious car...

one of the biggest complaints about the IX and VIII bodystyles is that they werent as eyecatching as some of the other sport cars, despite what most of you would probably flame me for.
but im the type who is more interested in performance rather than looks. don't get me wrong i wouldn't drive a frame with a 500-hp motor on there, but the EvoX doesn't look like it's gone horribly wrong.
We'll see how it goes on the track.
