Gotta stick with the VIII. The IX are hawt dont get me wrong, but they are almost identical to the VIII. The X, well...........and well..........hmmmm.......have to let that one go.

 

The VIII just looks a little off to me. I like the IX and the X but for different reasons.

The IX just has that nice aggressive look but it's not over the top. You can tell it's a nice car but it's sleeper enough that unless you know what an Evo is, you wouldn't suspect what it can do.

The X is (IMO) a nicer looking car than the previous Evo's. But I'm still torn on whether or not I like it better. It's just different.

I also think that this thread is pointless but that doesn't mean it's not interesting.

 

I saw the regular X at the dealer yesterday and was not impressed. It reminded me of my old IS300 when they went to the 250 and 350 because the door panel looks so much taller and flat lacking molding or any detail. I didn't like it.

 

no such thing as a regular x. you probably mean the base lancer.

yes, it will not have as many details due to the fact that it is a base and costs need to be kept down.

 

the x looks really nice...

just think of all mitsubishi put into this car, new frame/engine setup/tranny/control/interior. in theory, its better in almost every aspect while still upholding the laws the US enforces.

the ix/viii are going to look DATED

 

The evo x is the ugliest car ive seen. They went to far in changing the body style and trying to make it look like an audi. I cant wait to get my 06 evo mr.

 

I saw the Lancer GTS today and it looked like SH*** to me.... and its looks will never grow on me....

 

It never ceases to amaze me how divided people are over the EvoX and new Impreza/STI. Frankly, I think the Evo X is one of the better looking cars I've seen in a long time.

 

I really wish they would develop the new Eclipse Ralliart concept - that's a really good looking car.

I am going to put my $0.02 in here. I personally like the way the New EVO looks. the VIII and IX are good looking cars and they are one of the best performance machines out there.

Now, as for a debate.....

1. The New EVO is not out yet.
2. No one has read anything on the times that the NEW EVO is putting out.
3. It is an EVOLUTION. An EVOLVING car.
That's it. The thread is a waste of time.

Now for the guy who put out the AUDI RS4 pictures. Look, you gotta give AUDI all the credit for anyone who is an EVOLUTION, SUBARU, PUEGOT, CITROEN etc fan.

From what I understand, AUDI is the company that first brought out AWD vehicles to the WRC.

WRC ladies and gentleman. WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP.
This is the event that brought your EVO's, STI's, into the market.
Now for the guys who hate the new EVO. I can understand why you don't like the looks of the car. But for the one who don't like the engineering, performance, or knocking the engine cause it's not what you expected, come on now.
I am quite sure when this car hits the market and you start reading the numbers that this car puts out, you might change your mind. Some might trade in their EVO VIII and their IX. Who know?

If you guys think the new evo is ugly you should look at the new sti that thing is butt. I love the look of my 8 but A 10 lowered with a nice set of wheels I'm sure will look better, That rallyart example is siiiick if you ask me.

 

Then pass the dribble cups and measure out the straightjackets. Because I agree with him, and so do 175 other people.

Want me to really cook your noggin'? I really find the 8 + 9 to be some of the worst looking Evos. Sorry, that's how I see them.

 

There's nothing wrong with imitating GREATNESS. The RS4 is indeed, GREAT. It's an M3 killer, and Audi is the grand-daddy of WRC.
