Will EVO X be sold out rather quickly?
+1 my buddy has a deposit on a new skyline (10 grand) just to buy it... cant wait till it comes out. He is thinking of selling the rights to buy it for double just to possibly get out from the buy
i was really thinking of buying a GTR...but the 70+ grand price tag is a bit too much.
the evo x selling out with everyone putting in deposits is one of my worst fears. I do not plan on putting in a deposit until maybe two months prior to its launch in the U.S, if its possible.

These may sell like hotcakes and local dealers MAY run out, but if you look around the country I'm sure there'll be dealerships that'll keep some in stock (i.e. if none near NY have any then maybe one in Florida or Ohio may have some in stock... etc)
....
Wait.... Toyota is coming back out with the Supra?!?! Says who?!?! >_>

With the addition of DSG where you can put it in full automatic mode, much more people will end up buying an Evo X compared to the previous Evos. Having an automatic option usually leads to higher sales. Everyone that always wanted to buy an Evo, but did not because they don't know how to drive a stick will now have the opportunity to drive one because of the DSG transmission. Most people want to drive an automatic instead of a manual. Manual drivers plus automatic drivers equals higher sales. That is why there are so many Corvettes and 350Zs you see on the road.
Canada is slated to either have 250 or 500. Either way, I know that local (Edmonton and Alberta) dealerships are all taking deposits. However, both North/West side dealers and Southside in Edmonton both agree that because of the many deposits taken, some may not see their Evo X's till Summer 08, they will NOT have showroom or test drive vehicles. So this kinda leaves joe consumer walk-in not getting an Evo possibly for this first model year.
I hear that both these cars are startin off at 45k-60k.
The X is what, 35k starting off? Speculation, naturally. But still.....
I would have thought that if anyone had a chance it would be the X, at least, over these 2 demons.
hmmm.....interesante
