Evo X review
well if you cant launch as hard your not going to achieve a 13.4 or 13.3. after the slower launch then maybe minus .1 second a shift
Well everybody knows japanese prototype cars are slightly qicker than the prodution car, but i hope the X with more tests improves. The old evo has it beat 0-60, 70-0, and in the 1/4 mile my fingers are crossed
Ehhhhh, I would take this article with a grain of salt, there were plenty of Evo X articles from haters before. My point of view is this, I am not gonna judge the car until it will be actually announced by Mitsubishi and driven by few magazines AFTER the actual release of the car, not some prototypes. I am, what you might say, and Evo X fan boy, but so far, IMO, the best/fastest Evo officially released to date is Evo VI, so it won't be the first time Mitsu would disappoint with a new Evo.
BUT, the one thing that doesn't add up is the 300 lb/ft of torque in the magazine, when the leaked JDM brochure showed 311 (not a big difference but still there is discrepency), also the HP figure of 295 doesn't add up. I am not an engine prodigy but from what I know the 4B11T is a DOHC, SQUARED bore engine, meaning high revs and usually in this configuration HP is usually higher than torque figures, of course, unless the 295HP figure is heavily understated as Mitsu has done in the past with 4G63.
Anyway, if the article will hold true I guess I will be a bit disappointed in Evo X performance, but I still think it is a much better looking car than outgoing IX interior/exterior wise, plus a bit more of refinement and luxury won't hurt as I am not 18 and that hardcore anymore. Anyway, Evo has always been about handling first and it looks like it is doing that pretty good. Drag racing is an American thing, I am more interested in a track performance with some heavy curves where real driver skill is required.

Not to let facts get in the way here, but if anyone actually read the article, you would have noticed that C&D said the X was faster to 60 than the last EVO they tested, an 06 IX SE.

Man, their drivers must suck then. What was the 0-60 time for the Evo IX they tested?

Since evyerone hates the evo X anyways lets embrace this nice looking STI.
Although the impreza looked like crap, i honestly think this STI looks pretty sweet. This picture is from their website so....
Lost some weight too! good job SUBARU. People on nasioc is changing their oppininions.. evyoenre starting to love the STI while everyone on here continues to bash the X haha
