I subscribe to every main stream car mag every month..C&D, MT, R&T, Automobile mag....etc.--- and they all get different 0-60 times...some depending on weather and such...but definitely Car and Driver is on the conservative side of 0-60 times.

so a 5.0 sec run from them could easily turn into a 4.6 -4.7 from a few other mag testers.

I agree the X looks like from the initial accounts it lost the hardcore edge....and some may think it looks not as good and others will say it looks way better...the interior for one is way nicer looking and the new car is going to have more of a Lux feel for sure.........in the end I bet $$ the car will be pretty darn sweet....

For now I think I drop my $$ into the IX though

WOW!! finallly. This is the most accurate and only true reference at all that we have/had since the Evo X has been seen all over the world during the pre-test/launch.

As much as I want to go to the dealer and drop some cash to get one order I am very cautious and conservative indeed, I truly don't know if the Evo X will outperform the previous Evo 9. This is the true say of "time will tell"

that evo must be really big...coz those 18" wheels look like 17's, i've never really noticed that. but i'm not shooting it down, i'm still excited to test drive one.

That interior is one of the ugliest I have seen. If they were really trying to make the interior feel more upscale from the previous model, they have failed miserably (and thats pretty sad considering the quality of the IXs interior).

How is it faster around corners with a .97 skidpad if the IX tested .98?

I don't know if anything has been released yet regarding the MR edition but I have a theory I want to just throw out there.

Perhaps Mitsu has made the GSR Evo X to be the "every day" model. However when the MR or even the RS is announced they will be the more performance tuned versions of the car. They will be the big jump froward that we were hoping for.

The only reason I bring this up is because when you look at the difference between the 9 and the 9 MR, what do you get 10-15 hp and better a better drive train. Now in my opinion if you want to have a higher performance version of anything there better be a bigger difference then that, just my .02 though.

So for now I'm going to hope that there will be an MR model that will break the 300hp mark stock and bring the namesake back to the Evo X.

As far as the remarks about the interior, that looks to me like it is a pretty base version of the interior. I know most of the people here don't want a Navi in their car..however an SSL package would really help upgrade the interior.

Ok these are just theories and ideas that came to me so take them with a grain of salt.

Now i have to get back to work....YAY..uhh.

It's best to compare C&D results to C&D results. C&D's latest Evo test resulted in .94 g's.

.93 g's for the test before it.

Kind of sucks, but i guess the VIII and IX will really hold their values now. I'm definitely gonna hold on to my IX.

Guys don't worry. The Evo X will be more than awesome. Sweet interior, great exterior and awesome power. Just a flash, and exhaust and that car will fly. The engine is great something that the mags did not go into. Just wait and see how great this car will be. I Love it.

You drama-queen fan boys are a hoot.

One mag writes an article based on a prototype and you guys write it off just like that?

The car is evolving -- get used to it. Compare the original EVO to the IX, and the IX will look like a luxury car.

I'm glad it's slower in a straight line. Why? So fewer tool-bags will try to drag race them. It's a rally-influenced car and belongs on a track with turns in it. I'm glad they focused on improving the handling.

Here's a novel idea -- why not wait until they are actually available for purchase and then start reading all the reviews to see what the consensus is?

The verdict is NOT out yet, fools.

Judging on a prototype and not to mention a jap RHD version is retarded. Wait till they test PRODUCTION ones. Wait till more magazines get a hold of it. More oppinionated answers.

Oh and btw the youtube video of the evo 6 vs 9 shows that your 9s weren't any faster the the previous model either so dont get your panties bunched about the X being just as fast as the 9.

And No im not an X fanboy , i dont even plan on purchasing it, im just an open minded person. Something people on this forum gotta learn to do. Lighten up if you aren't even goign to purchase one, no need to bash it for people looking to get their first evo's as the X
