don't ever use the word lancer and eVolution in the same sentence...if this was japan I'm sure you'd be commiting a crime...there's a lot of cars that share the same chasis...so what is your point? only in U.S. the eVo is known as a lancer eVolution...to the enthusiasts its an eVo...to an outsider its a lancer...pick one that describes you...

off topic, but like in initial D, do ppl call them LanEvo's?
You guys are arguing over a TEST CAR. Unitl the FINAL production model is released nothing any of you say (performance wise) really means anything (Evo X or STI).
And to those of you who said that the Evo VI doesn't matter b/c we (USA) never had them are WRONG, it does matter, it is a real car, and yes it does out perform the VII, VIII, and IX (stock for stock, so far). Just b/c you haven't experienced doesn't mean it's not true.

Listen...(1) a lot of people here in the states still think the eVo started with the VIII...LOL...I am not a hardcore eVo guy yet...its the mean look...the AWD, the handling and the potential power from a 4 banger turbo that sold me on the iX...not the pretty luxery bling bling...you say it doesn't matter...I beg to differ...(2) I can't say about something I have no experience about...granted the X is not out...but from the looks of it I am not impressed...if the X was out now...I would still purchase the iX because it appeals to me more...as the X will appeal to the mature demographic...I never seen a VI in real life...I'm sure it's kick ***...I still have my preference...you won't see much change in the USDM version of the X...

2. The STi will be faster stock vs stock...from what I have read its suppose to have 320 HP vs what 295...the STi is also lighter...ever hear power to weight ratio? The eVo X seems to be heading the same way as the eclispe did...sad...
Man, I'm blown away by your dumbness. In the rest of the world it's called Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and whatever number. That's what it's called in Japan too. The Japanese also refer to it as the Evo or the Lan Evo. The Lan stands for Lancer. So the Japanese also call the Evo a Lancer. It's a Lancer you twit.

Vigo...go play in treffic...or just look out the window...you just don't get it...I will not give a head nod or even acknowledge a lancer...while driving in my eVo...that holds true where ever you go...People don't buy an eVo because its a step up from the lancer...or because I am better than you and can afford one...that's not it at all...untill you understand this...you won't see why so many eVo owners feel they do about the X coming out...

An Evo is a AWD sports sedan...and so is the X. I, just like you, prefer the IX, but that doesn't mean the X is not a real Evo and won't perform.
2.) The bolded words are speculation, not fact. The current Sti has more HP, so what. Yes i have heard of power to weight ratio. Do you happen to have those numbers for the new Sti and/or Evo...i didn't think so.
Don't get me wrong, the Evo X may very well be crap. But unitl it's released and has a chance to prove itself, everything said is crap.
