Vigo...where you from? I'm from the U.S. and here in this country we only had the pleasure to enjoy the VIII and the iX...so what really is your point here? Even though the VI maybe be considered the last true eVo in other parts of the world...I can't make that decision as I have never owned one let alone saw one here in the states...besides...if what you say holds true that the VI being the last true eVo...what do you think the ones that seem to think so think about the X? I'll tell you what they are thinking...they are denying the fact that its an eVo...just a better version of the lancer...

The X gets such a mixed review from the eVo community like no other besides the STi forums...eVo is not the only car I have...I am not pulling numbers out of my ***...I've seen reactions by others when a new model is released and the X is not a hit among its community...its a hit amongst the outsiders...

As for evo-X it looks hot and the ralliart option makes it fun-factor. Evo-X might not have satisfied the fans but its better than STI in all the departments and mazor one is LOOKS

I'm sorry...but in the looks dept...they both loose IMO...not a car I would walk into a dealership and pick one up...I would definately check out the competition...the X is too much of a cross over between an Audi/Mazda/ grocery getter IMO...there is a nice picture of the X photoshopped...I think most of you already seen the red one with carbon roof and accents...The X does not have the tough eVo look as the iX or VIII for that matter...definately not a look at me car...but one that blends in with the rest of the treffic...performance wise...stock its a bit better...but still lacks what was expected...and I definately think the STi stock will own a X...since its lighter and has more power...

For the past year i've seen people who are excited about a new car, but you just have to dish out insults and put down the X because it isn't <whatever reason> and you just have to make others feel bad. Vigo...this is exactly what I mean...the people that give praises to the eVo X are "off the street" consumers that don't know or own a current eVo...there is a handful of current eVo owners that like it...majority of current eVo owners are not impressed...its not that hard to see why...I realize that the eVo is based on a lancer...every onwer of an eVo will say they drive and eVo VIII or iX...not a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution...we chose to avoid the word lancer...just as how the eVo is known in Japan as eVo (insert #here)...again...where are you from? If you are from the states your opinion about the VI being the last true eVo does not count since we never really had the car here...so STFU with your propaganda...

Relax...sorry to burst your cherry...people like me is what makes an enthusiast car...not a mainstream grocery getter...just because a new model is available does not mean its always for the best...too many examples I can give you as to how a new model does not mean its necessarly better...this applies to other car manufacturers as well...and if you think that a new model is always better than obviously that's your own opinion...in that case God Bless and enjoy a car that appeals to a 17 year old or a 57 year old...I'd rather have somone give me the thumbs up or look my way each time I drive and think..."that's a bad a$$ car" instead of "I can't believe what they've done to that car"...I've not insulted anyone...but I am about to if you don't STFU...you know how us insecure fools are...

You guys are arguing over a TEST CAR. Unitl the FINAL production model is released nothing any of you say (performance wise) really means anything (Evo X or STI).
And to those of you who said that the Evo VI doesn't matter b/c we (USA) never had them are WRONG, it does matter, it is a real car, and yes it does out perform the VII, VIII, and IX (stock for stock, so far). Just b/c you haven't experienced doesn't mean it's not true.

and why are some already expecting the sti to be better just bc it has more hp and less weight? as far as i remember, the sti in the states has always had a power advantage over the evo, yet every comparison ive read they chose the evo

don't ever use the word lancer and eVolution in the same sentence...if this was japan I'm sure you'd be commiting a crime...there's a lot of cars that share the same chasis...so what is your point? only in U.S. the eVo is known as a lancer eVolution...to the enthusiasts its an eVo...to an outsider its a lancer...pick one that describes you...
