Not good news on mitsu future
Wow dude the Evo in no way compares to a porsche. If I want the fastest Ill get a DSM and still have a sports coupe instead of a family sedan shaped like a take-out box. If I want the fastest family sedan I will go get a STI.
Reading comprehension > both of you. Especially you, HondaHunter.
That article is from August 23, 2007. The "Galant Fortis" is already here. The Lancer is not dead. It's still called the Lancer. It's been out since last year...
The EVO X is built on the Galant Fortis (LANCER!) body. The whole Galant Fortis thing is just a goofy Japanese market naming scheme because they still sell the last-gen Lancer there..
The new Lancer (Galant Fortis) is also a million times nicer and better built than the previous generation car.

actually they did compare the 911 C4 vs evo IX FQ340 vs current RS4 in the evocarmagazine. the evo came out on top. but I was talking about interiors between a porsche and a lexus not evo in the previous post.
but back to that nice first sentence, im surprised u even had to say it out loud. if SavEVOIX was somehow surprised that his IX's interior is atrocious, i think he needs to google "Evo"
Here's how the sentence reads:
The U.S.-market Lancer will be renamed "GALANT FORTIS" for the Japan domestic market.

Notice the part I bolded. Edmunds has it wrong. They have as bad reading comprehension skills as S6 and hondahunter.
Where? Provide a link please. I searched MMC's home site and there is nothing mentioned of this.

So what. You had a drag bucket 1G that was faster then some Evos. Big deal. That doesn't make DSMs better. One car can be made faster then an another by modding. There are some faster Civics then some Evos, but that doesn't make them better. The Evo is a better made car, its put together better, it has better stock parts it has overall better performance and higher potential. A DSM doesn't hold the time attack record, an Evo does. DSM's are faster at drag right now, but that's only because they are lighter.
What was your setup, lets see this 1G you have/had.
Ah ha ha ha. WHAT?!!! Are you kidding? The Evo stole something? Who is us? You mean the Eclipse crew? You do realize the Eclipse HAS ALWAYS BEEN BUILT ON THE GALANT CHASSIS FROM DAY ONE. The Eclipse was developed for the US market and later exported in very limited quantities to other countries. It has always been built in Normal, IL. The 4G is built on the Project America platform just like <gasp> the Galant and Endeavor that are also built in Normal, IL.
The Evo didn't "steal" anything, its always been built on the Lancer/Colt/Mirage chassis and always been built in Japan.

With the 5G eclipse RA model we get our platform back which the EVO stole from us.

when i drive a civic, the shifting is like cutting butter with a hot knife, and in a Lancer its like wrestling a bear.
when i drive an accord, i feel like its a bmw on sharp turns, and when i drive a gallant, i feel like im in a boat, on water.
when i drive a Murano or Mazda CX7, i fee like im in a sedan, and when i drive an Outlander, i feel like im in a 3story house.

your first sentence was great. i was about to hit the Reply, and give the thumbs up, and then i saw the next sentence. i dont know the last time you sat inside a 911, but it aint no 1974 carrera with bare metal floors my friend. 911's are insane inside. as i posted in a photo a few months back in the show&shine, my next door neighbor has a 997 carerra S, and good heavens, its all leather and suede.
but back to that nice first sentence, im surprised u even had to say it out loud. if SavEVOIX was somehow surprised that his IX's interior is atrocious, i think he needs to google "Evo"

but hey, u still WIN. u got me to respond to you, yet again
that got u kicking and screaming because supposedly they all have agendas and a natural bias, and none of us should ever listen to a word that magazines have to say.
so what do i do in response? i do exactly what u asked, and simply tell u about ....

Outlander comes in fourth of 9. One of the pros they said that it had car like ride, not three story building handling like s6 thinks.

actually, I was considering a new 997 minus the special order suede, just leather and have been to the porsche and lexus dealership a lot since I was considering one, too. So, these are current versions of the 997 "S." Don't let the "P" badge cloud your judgement but audi and lexus makes better interiors. Porsche is more of function
BTW, did you see the porsche steering wheel? that is atrocious

i have owned and driven many luxury cars, and i cant say that the large luxury sedan interiors are far better than that of the porsches' ... or rather, i cant say that porsche interiors, are far worse than those of typical luxury sedans,a s you might expect... even if u dont get stitched leather dashboard, or suede everything, its still much more upscale than it used to be with 911s years ago.
common man, just admit it, it was a bad example to use. you shoulda used somethin like a lotus as an example of "great outside, poo inside"

Here, MT has the Lancer GTS coming in 3 of 4 against the Civic, Sentra, ahead of the Elantra. they complain because the GTS costs more against the other cars base models, and that its a "Evo wannabe". In performance tests its the fastest of the cars, stops shorter and has the highest grip but it might "beat you up in traffic." They claim the GTS was the only trim level they could get, but perhaps an ES would've doen better. They don't say anything like s6 would've said, such as it being slow or porky or bad handler.

Here the Ralliart Galant came in 3 of 4 behind the Camry and altima SE-R, ahead of the Malibu SS.
Here's MT's summary: "A nicer car than its third-place finish indicates. Doesn't overwhelm, but does everything well."
Nothing mentioned resembling "boat like handling."
Doesn't sound like they thought of the car negatively. and they managed to only mention the Evo like four or five times. But still they did bring the car along in a recent comparo, unlike the fact that S6 claims magazines never test Mitsubishis or find them relevant. They absolutely do. But its also natural for them to put a Mitsu behind a Honda Toyota or Nissan and ahead of any domestic in practically every test. Even still Camry was new for that year, Galant and altima 4+ years old so it should be understandable, but camry really don't deserve the praise they get.
