Starting 12/15/2003 Mitsubishi deaelerships in Poland will offer Evo MR for a price of 229 000 zlotys which is about $57000, regular Evo costs 179 000 zlotys = $44750, kinda pricey for a MR if U ask me...
From Auto Express:
Ultimate Evo Is The Light Fantastic
If the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII isn't extreme enough for you, Auto Express can reveal that a hardcore lightweight version of the rally-bred car will join the range in March.
An aluminium roof and other low-mass body panels have been fitted to the new model to slim it down, while the suspension settings have been tweaked to give the Evo even more responsive handling.
The result will be a sharper feel to the steering and a slight reduction in the 0-60mph time. For many, however, the attraction will be the chance to own the ultimate Evo.
This latest model, referred to within the firm as the Evo eight-and-a-half, will be sold through Ralliart dealers, and is likely to be available in either 300bhp or 330bhp tune. Visual differences will include some exclusive lightweight black alloys, but don't expect a stripped-out interior - leather trim will be fitted as standard. Bosses are being cagey about prices, but lightweight versions are tipped to carry a £2,000 premium over the standard car.
Meanwhile, Mitsubishi has big ideas for the Evo brand, with plans to create a sporty flagship version of practically every model in the range. Next year, the line-up will be expanded with the introduction of the new Colt, and a range-topping hot model is likely to wear the coveted Evo badge. That will be joined later by a high-performance version of the Shogun off-roader, and maybe even a tuned L200 pick-up!
The traditional four-door saloon base for the Evo will remain in the shape of the Lancer, with the all-new saloon, based on a Mercedes platform, due in showrooms in 2006.

Lightweight Evo
Does anyone have info on the article in "Car" about the Lightweight Evo VIII being tested in Japan. They mentioned that it will be available in the UK at least.
Kinda like the CSL M3
Kinda like the CSL M3
yeah
Awesome looking! Are those wheels available in the UK now?
i dont think this car is avaliable yet in the UK, but will be early next year, possibly.
Once the car is out all the extra goodies it has will also be avaliable, such as the wheels etc...
I think that colour makes it look so much more hardcore!
