Evolution MR - Mitsubishi Racing [MERGED]

You know how the Evo8 is just badged as an Evolution in the U.S., well look at that badge. It says EvolutionMR, and theres no 8. Perhaps this is a test mule for an American version? On the other hand, companies usually dont badge their test mules, its counterproductive. So who knows. Good pic, either way.

Highly the fact that aerodynamic performance is important in the motor sport which is accelerated, is widely known fact. MR which raises the
stability in the high-speed area with the latest effective light weight conversion, epoch making brought evolution to also aerodynamic performance. The Mitsubishi individual vortex generator (dealer option) it is development. Generating the vertical eddy to the roof rear end positively, as it decreases the aerodynamic drag of air current on the rear window, it is the item of the new conception which raises the down fourth of the rear spoiler powerfully.

MR will be launched in 2005
In the Kiplingers car review mag, they have a write-up on the MR. According to the article, it will be launched in the US in 2005 as a 2005 model. HP stays about the same to the current Evo, but torque increases to 300 pounds.
No news on colors, exact launch date and production numbers.
I wonder what the price would be?

I'm still trying to figure out if the MR would pass our crash tests with it's front door side impact bars made of aluminum and whether it would pass our rollover tests with it's aluminum roof?
