Hmmm, so it seems that the "unofficial blurb" on the website was dead on then...

This place cracks me up... A CEO saying something isn't enough, but some dealer is??

It's coming.. As for those who are angst ridden becuase they are enjoying an Evo now and we're chomping at the bit.. Go run a few laps.. That should make you feel better. And if you're not out running laps then you should be angry only at yourself..

Does anyone really kid themselves into thinking the car they are buying wil not be improved upon next year? and the year afte that? You have to know what you want. Don't settle and know full well each year something better will come along. The MR is satisfactory in my book. SMT would make it a little sweeter over the next 4 years or so though..

I was supposed to meet with the regional on Monday at the dealership along with the GM for lunch. I got pegged at work though, and called him to say I couldn't make it, but to leave me a message if he heard anything.

I noticed I received a voicemail late today from the GM. I'll be giving him a call tomorrow, and maybe I could end up receiving word from him as well.

It's great more folks are becoming aware of it's introduction, but it's just comical that a CEOs word is not as "official" as a regional/distict/local sales rep...

How will a limited number of basically the same car coming out make the resale on your car go to "@#it?" Down the road they will be viewed as the same car with a different trim level. Unless an extra gear, slightly higher flowing turbo, and a vortex generator makes your car look like a piece...

I personally will buy whatever is available in September-October, when my personal finances and car savings are well enough to buy a new car. If that mica gray is available, that's just a bonus.

Oh by the way, in the almost 80 pages of this thread, I can't believe no one has posted this link yet. This proves the MR is coming!!!

Hey Crazy29817, that links been posted at least ten times, but another look at the MR on the site is always a pleasure. Especially in that awesome mica grey .

Mister2zx3 - A sales rep's word doesn't have more truth or pertinence than the CEO's, it just corroborates it. Especially with the present restructuring of the upper management of with DaimlerChrylser's new boys taking over. And when Daimler's original request for $2billion was refused by its partners.

So a little supporting data is always good, regardless of the source. It just makes for a sounder argument .

I just can't get the link to work but go search "Evo" on www.evo.co.uk to find it. The article is from May 2004 edition.

OK, this is serious....

As of 3hrs ago, DaimlerChrylser announced that it WOULD NOT BAIL OUT .

Check it out:
http://www.forbes.com/personalfinanc...tr1344305.html

Dudes, this is SERIOUS SH*T.

If Corporation doesn't invest the necessary cabbage... somewhere between 2-8billion greenbacks... cars won't be in the U.S., let alone the Evo MR. Hell, it may not be in Japan as well.

Lets pray for a resolution that saves 's a**.

G-d damn NY Times... they killed the free link.

Anyway, changed the above to the Forbe's link saying the same thing, with less detail.

Here's more,

Guys, this is REALLY, REALLY BAD NEWS. I really don't know where MMC is going to find the resources to bail Mitsubishi Motors. Especially with the news driving down the collective stock, as well as the yen against the Euro, Dollar.

See the link to the Evo magazine review I posted April 16 at 11:39am. It's a few pages back.

There's a separate thread about the DaimlerChrysler pullout in Evo General.
