Well it's a part of driving tough guy. The Evo's roots ARE drifting so it has some relevance to the conversation.

Um....no. It's not part of driving and it's not the focus of this thread. It's part of racing (read: controlled environment) and start your own thread regarding drifting if you really want to get in depth.

Lets not confuse driving with commuting/cruising.. Driving is in a controlled environment, with focus and determination. Racing is Driving in a competition.

But This is a MR thread and just becuase the MR is useful in many venues, let's keep those specific venue topics in a seperate thread set.

Man just thinking of those new MR seats.. MMmmmm and Bilstien shocks.. and lightened balance shafts, and roof, and....

Anyone have any way to find out if Tilt and Cruise are now equipped on the Evo MR?

Hm, if the average American wasn't so "big" then we would have gotten the good seats in the first place...

At nearly 7 foot tall and only 190lbs I'm sure glad we got "big" seats. And it will be nice to have those "big" seats sueded/alcantara/(what are they?) in the MR! Little tiny lilliputian girlies need not apply..

The side bolsters on the US seats suck. They really do. And if you're 7 feet tall, you'll have problems getting into more cars than just this one.

Actually I fit quite well and even with a helmet and the bolstering worked well for a "big" American.. Vettes and SRT4s can get painful with their stock seats. With a full on race seat, you get even more room.. and less weight.. and better bolstering..

Hm, well being Asian, I need the bigger bolsters and smaller seats like they get in Japan. I wish there was an option for the smaller seats.

Japanese EVO VIII MR Video

I was Checkin out the Japanese Mitsubishi website and I found this video of an MR driving around nurburgring in Germany. To see it go to the following link and click the movie button in the lower left. You shouldn't need Japanese text support cause the button is a picture file... Enjoy

UK Article about MR

Check out this UK article on the MR. It lists some of the differences. Its longer than the one we all read here. Maybe that means it has more details. I read it but I dont remember what the last one said exactly. Oh well, check it and find out...

Listen, if the seats are too big, get some Sparcos or Brides.

Anyway, how about sticking to the topic of the MR... opinions, or better still rumours, facts?

I thought this was an MR thread, not a drifting thread or whether butts are too big or small for JDM/USDM seats.

By and by, I got a call from my dealer and they left a message saying they have some info on the MR release... said next fall (?'04, '05) and some details on options. Waiting for a call back... i'll keep y'all posted.

Anyone interested in a thread discussing the future of as a whole? Facts/educated views, etc. Let me know.

So, the dealer confirmed the MR is coming in September . Going to get back to me after talking to the regional manager about available options/standard equipment.
