Good Job Michael! Yep Everyone's worth of something is different. I'm in your boat. I have too many interests to pay big bucks with the latest stuff. I prefer to skip the biggest initial depreciation on things.

Check it out, this one is a 6-speed.

Rock on!!

[Edit]
After save change it to evo8mr.rm and open using RealPlayer

It sounds like a freaking Airplane
That "Airplane" sound SOUNDS like it's coming from the Tires, if not spliced in. Still nice though.

i doubt if even Mitsu knows what will be going on with the 2006 Evos or if there will be one. I wouldn't waste the neuronal energy to read that nonsense on any forum, let alone a subie one. Could be right, but anything anyone says could turn out right. Just no basis for it at this time.

Not for the reasons they stated. The 4G Eclipse will have nothing to do with the Evo or DSM platforms of yore. It appears to be a rebody of the Galant long-chassis with a freer exhaust. Still FWD, still V6, but heavier and with a 3.8L and 6-spd.

(sigh) Subaru peeps.

MR won't be out for another year

Spoke with someone at the local dealership who knows whats going on because he is a huge Evo fan and keeps up with Mitsu news. He told me the MR is not scheduled to start production for the US until April of 2005 and we should start seeing them at dealers in the summer of 05. He also said they were scheduled to recieve their first shipment of 04's next week and it comes in the base, the LS and the RS models. Didnt get into what the different models come with but leather Recaros and an upgraded stereo are available for the 04's. There will also be alot fewer Evos made for 04 then they made in 03 so if you want one, you might want to be quick about it, I am putting a deposit down on one this weekend.

why did they wait this long to release the 04 models? does mitsu ever make any logical decisions? NO... it won't surprize me if it is pushed back till spring 05 because i've heard it from multiple sources include my dealer as well. (which i don't trust but still hes backing what i've seen elsewhere)

Well, that makes some sense since releasing the MR in 4-5 months would take away sales from the about to be released 2004's. I mean maybe they will release the MR that soon, but it seems too close to the release of the 2004's. Also, it seems odd magazines keep saying less than 35,000 for an MR. Theoretically that means msrp could be 34,999. Although speculation on my part, it makes no sense why a loaded 2004 "base evo" with leather and sun and sound without the trick parts of the MR would cost more than the MR itself. I am only guessing, but why sell a 2004 evo with sun and sound for 33,500 and the MR flagship for 32-33,000? It is the premiere evo, thus I believe the price will be higher than a loaded "base evo". Just my 2 cents.
Stay safe,
Punisher

I'm not trying to be flippant, but the white washed version we have is very capable. Ask overall 1 Lap America finishers in postions 6 through 98.

i didn't say it wasn't, but if we are talking about model's the US evo is not a true Evo VIII... its more of an EVO 7.5 It has the body of the VIII but missing the tranny, acd, ayc, etc...

I love the evolution, and what it stands for... I can't stand North America Mitsubishi, theres a bunch of guppies workin in the corp office who can't tell left from right. I bought my evolution because I liked the way it felt while driving, and when compaired to other cars in its class I found it to be the best. I was looking for a 4 door sedan that was sporty and could perform. This is my second mitsubishi and the dealers and such are nothing but worthless people to deal with. The highend cars are awsome, and if i was in japan my garage would consist of a lancer of course and some vehicles from the nissan family...

If NA mitsu could clean up their act I wouldn't be so negative towards them. If companies are going to promote racing and say that sometihng is bread for racing then they need to back their @$$'s up with warranties and tech support. My local dealer doesn't know a damn thing about the car and he's the service manager. Whenever I confront him with questions his answer is call mitsu's engineers they designed it. The hell with people like that either learn your job or get the hell out of the way for someone who can do it.
