well, i am sort of guessing, but maybe they put that short little blurb because they aren't really sure yet what the deal is except that it is coming. I appreciate the effort you made michael, and I'm sure everyone else does also. I'm glad that someone at Mitsu actually knows something and could give you some answers... my dealer told me that i was talking about the RS, not the MR haha.

Can someone explain why was the SAYC/ACD left out from the 03's in the first place? I really think that it should have been here.

Mitsu should have known that we would ***** about it. Can't they relocate the emission stuff so we can get the goodies.

For me the ACD/SAYC would seal the deal. Even though I may not track the car at all, I do drive like a maniac on public roads so I would feel more comfortable knowing that it's there.

I think that Mitsu should not bring the MR until they figure out how to work around the emission laws. I mean I really want an MR but with ALL the gizmos that come with it.

Mitsu really has to stay with the game. All the other companies are hitting their customers with a $hitload of options for their lineup (especially their top-of-the-line model)

Ok I am done

If they could keep the wing looking the way it does on the 03's and use a lighter color on the wheels then I'll be the first one on the block to throw down my deposit.

The grey wheels make the MR stand out- keep it the way it is and keep it 31K I will put my deposit down tomorrow, and I'm sure many others would as well.

I also like the wing.

SAYC was left out in the first place cause of some emission evaporator crap. Dunno exactly what the hell it's for, but the US needs it for emissions.

I assume ACD was left out for cost, as well as overhead cost of training the techs to service it. The techs are already dumb enough as it is, so I dunno. I think I'd rather take my car to an independent shop than have a dealer look at it.

Yeah, everyone did ***** about it when the car was announced sans ACD/SAYC. Oh well, guess you can't have everything... the car is still an Evo, and still handles better than the STi minus it's active diffs. Kinda makes you wonder what an Evo with the goodies would feel like, doesn't it?

Don't get me wrong, I do like all of the updates, just don't like the colors. As it stands now, I can't buy that car looking the way it does, at least not in red. The Grey looks a little better, but I don't want a Grey colored car. I think for the US market, Mitsubishi will have to be a little more generous in the color offerings. We need a blue MR over here, and the sides of the wing should at least match the body color. Paint over the damn carbon fiber, I don't care just don't make it look like I bought the damn wing at K-Mart and glued it on. That's how it looks in the mag. I think we all feel the same way even if were so jazzed about the rest of the upgrades we aren't admitting it.
The BBS wheels and vortex generator are both options in Japan. Not sure if they'll make them options here though...

You don't get those Recaros on the USA model

Mits. tell us because market research tells 'em Americans backsides are too big!
Wonder who went around measuring them?
