Evolution MR - Mitsubishi Racing [MERGED]
The big push from dealers will be to get them sold before November when it starts getting cold and the Advans have no grip. Most manufacturers release their new models before or in in the summer when they are able to be enjoyed in the nice weather. Bringing the Evo in the fall will make it very attractive to enthusiasts who will then use the winter to prepare it for the open circuits in the spring.
I don't quite agree with your feeling that bringing them in the fall makes it attractive to the track guys..Wouldn't they be buying the "RS" and hitting the track today??! Why wait? Why spend the cake for the extra stuff?
Fact is, there will be MAYBE a couple cars maybe three or four 'MR"s total made available to the higher volume
stores...Nowhere near the amounts of regular EVO's that hit the showrooms last year.I personally think no sales nudge will be needed. Most dealers in the know with this car already have a couple orders and deposits already. Just do the math.
I've been reading on this forum about a lot of Evos having drivetrain problems. Do you think the MR will have these same issues? Or do you think they will get most of them worked out before they release the MR?

For those of you guys who have JDM/Euro spec EvoVII/VIII's and upgraded from a previous mechanical center diff Evo (EvoVI and older), how does the Tarmac mode compare to the standard mechanical diff setup?

Bhenkel, if you are selling for MSRP, I will be coming to you also. I live in the Bronx. I figure by the time I get back to the Bronx the car might be broken in
Just remember to keep a red handy. Screw that Mica
