The improved gearing from 3,4,5 and 6th make it worthwhile.. not just one cog, but the top 3 gears are noticably better for acceleration and 6th for top speed.

Agreed ! The Evo does have a HUGE lag between 4th and 5th gear. Its an annoyance. The graph prooves it. It'll be nice to have a smoother transition from 4th to 5th. Also i noticed that 3rd to 2nd is a HUGE power diff. Downshifting can really bring u to a screeching halt. The MR tranny seems to have smoothend that issue too.

Talking about AYC isn't off topic but picking on someone's choice of words is just uncessary and adds nothing to the thread.

I was informed the only color available is the grey mica though??

Anyone hear different?

I would guess that we'll get the same color choices as the rest of the world. Red, White, Silver, and Grey. People who are easily influenced, please note the bold, underlined word in the previous sentence.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that Mister2zx3 did that, but hopefully I educated the masses. There are OT posts in every thread, but it's impossible to police them all, you just learn to ignore them.

No one has replied to my question on whether or not Evos are sold in Northern Ireland.

At the time I posted the Evo MR color poll, those were the only available colors around the world, which is why I included them. Preliminarily, it appears that the MR will become available in additional colors in the U.S., with us getting at least Electric Blue. I haven't seen anything that confirms Black or Yellow.

2005 Evo specs (including MR)

Waterspray Intercooler N / A
Dropped for all models in order to package E-ACD.

Okay, maybe I'm Rip Van Winkle and slept through the part of the thread that brought this up already but ???

I ask you, If a guy installed that feature..(could you?) is performance going to increase???

people have said the waterspray doesn't affect performance either way. it's probably not worth the effort to install an aftermarket spray...but i could be wrong...

If you are trying to keep folks further behind you, it helps to wet the track down at the exit of any corner... Add in antifreeze to really upset them and maybe yourself next time around..

Well, that would be nice but I'll believe it when I see it. I think it's completely likely that we'll get the same choices as the rest of the world and only somewhat likely that other choices will be made available. We'll see though.

I've never even heard of that until you quoted it. I seem to remember a number of posts back around the original release stating that there didn't seem to be any noticeable differences in lap times or 1/4 mile times with or without the sprayer but please correct me if I'm wrong. Personally, I won't miss it. At least the guys at the garage won't fill it up everytime thinking it's the windshield sprayer reservoir.

We will have the vehicles this fall. We arent taking any orders yet for the vehicles so they will be on a first come first serve basis. BTW looks like ebay has MR vortex generators already LOL

The gearing on the 6 speed do feel good when driving, they remind me of my short gearing on my RS 5 speed but with an extra gear for cruising and top speed that I would love to have.
