Hey fellas, what you guys think of this thread?
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...subishi+racing

It has to be the MR because of the way the roof is. It is already right here under our noses. Everything else could have been done to the car like the wheels, shocks and the badges(although no one in there right mind would remove the MR badges if they had it) to make the car MRish but the roof would be damn near impossible to change on a car that hasn't been released yet.

LeeRoy what are you driving now a Corolla? And all you care about is what color the MR wing is gonna be?! Is that going to be a major factor in your buying decision son?

MSRP + $10,000 dealer mark up = your price $40,000.

Its all about demand and supply.

For a hot new release you are lucky to get MSRP if you are buying from the first batch.
I bought mine in Clearwater 2 weeks after they came out for below MSRP.

It doesn't hurt to have a pre-existing relationship with your dealer. The ability to negotiate doesn't hurt either.

Don't sit here patting yourself on the back because you are selling the car at MSRP. Anyone who pays MSRP or higher for a car is a fool.
Sorry you think that since so many people would have to be fools. By the way you may want to get the facts before you talk...there isn't anywhere close to $4000 markup in an EVO from the factory. All I said was that we were not going to try and rip people off by charging them huge markups, if you don't like that no problem just go find someone to sell you one for invoice, I'm sure there are a lot of stores out there that will help you out

Are you talking about the black MR Test mule? Why would anyone order an Evo from Europe that has had the area around the gear shift hacked out?

Nice pics Turbo-Ron. I got to go with red. Everyone seems to be all up on the gray which is hot but everyone will have one. There might even be a shortage of grays at the rate we're going

Thanks Darkchild - I just came back from my local dealer. I put a deposit on an MR!!!! I'm so psyched dude.

I got in WRITING: MSRP + tax, tag, & title, NO dealer fee!!!!

They have no official info as yet on pricing or release date.

I'm in on that bet, too.

90% of this thread is a joke. I'll let the rest of you figure out which 90%. In fact, other than the pics and the people who don't listen to every damn thing they hear and take it as the word of God...the whole thing makes my brain hurt.

Regardless, I'll be trading in for an MR when they come out (whenever that is) and I'll be darn proud to own it.

Absolutely right man, I actually put down a deposit in 2003 just to get a first crack at the test drive!!! I had not really decided on getting it at the time. Hence I did not negotiate up front.

However, I just came back from my local dealer where I put a deposit on an MR!!!!

I got in WRITING: MSRP + tax, tag, & title, NO dealer fee!!!! and I'm in 3rd spot. I will take delivery at a fair price this time!

I'm glad I waited - I was not totally satisfied with the lack of LSD up front on the 03's. has really stepped up to the plate this time with the options I want. I expected as much.

They have no official info as yet on pricing or release date. - no matter we'll soon find out. - did I mention I'm # 3 on the MR list !!!!

Hm, the fact that they were able to sort of "wedge" the 6 speed into the existing car means a tranny swap would be possible. I guess the question is, how much, and is that extra cog really all that?

Maybe when the MR gets a test drive, we can finally see for ourselves what the 6 speed and ACD are all about. Though, I suspect we wouldn't be able to figure out the ACD by doing any normal test drive...

Why would we want the SAYC? If you drive your car right you can have it act like it has an AYC. I personally don't want something that corrects my drift.

It's not OT. We were talking about feedback from UK owners on S-AYC.
