so there's actually no REAL data on the colors available right? not even the black test car is a sure color. only red (red being from the road and track article). anyone know anything solid about color?

 

The dark grey color is definite.

 

You guys have to admit that the red MR does look better than the mica in that side-by-side shot. The Mica might be new but it just can't hold it's own against the red.

 

I know there's some MR brochure being tossed around here in Japanese. It displays the MR in White, Red, Gray and one more color, gotta find it again. it's a pdf file, do search.

 

It was already said that the MR will have 4 colors (Silver, Red, White and Mica)
There were actually pics posted awhile back of a white and a silver MR

 

My personal car situation has changed. I'm not in a hurry to buy an RS. I can wait several months for an MR. Just don't want to pay more than sticker. Should I place an order now or wait for the cars to hit the Mitsu showrooms???

 

the more pics of MRs i see, the more i think i'm starting to agree with you. the dark rims and dark spoiler look reallly good on the red MR. gray looks more plain.

but until you've seen them in person, who knows?

 

I just came back from my Mitsu dealership in the Bronx and their most knowledgable sales person has no clue that the MR even existed. I had to show him that little blurb on the Mitsubishi website before he knew what I was talking about.

But I must say that the look on his face was priceless. He was acting like a kid that had seen a girls underwear for the first time. Besides feeling embarassed he said that a customer has never came to him with info about a new car that he didn't know about. He took my info and said that he was going to do some research right away on the car.

Maybe I can use the fact that I" enlightened " him to get the MR for at or under MSRP

To buy a MR over MSRP is foolish. It's already being speculated at 32k, and to pay over that for a Mitsubishi is insane. Don't get me wrong, I love DSM all the way, but If I was going to pay 40k for a car it wouldn't be an Evo.

To those people who are getting disheartened by the "numbers" that are coming over here, this is for you:

To say that Mitsu is only going to be shipping over 1500-2000 MR's is even more foolishness. I heard this when I was talking with all the people anticipating the Evo VII(7) arrival. And then the Evo 8 came over. Now look how many there are. The MR will be flying off the floor if the price is right, and it'll take a while for the people who don't have the money right away. But don't fret, there's going to be more, especially with all the rich rice boys out there buying up the newest and best thing. The people going through their midlife crisis, and people who have money burning in their pocket. This will all show Mitsubishi that the US loves the MR, and will be further inclined to send MORE over. Don't worry guys...Your time is coming.
