Congrats, can't wait to see your pics.
Ya, the two packages are independent. Additionally, you can't break apart any componant of the two packages. For example, if I wanted pass key and sunroof only.. no can do. It's the entire package or nothing.

Dang, I don't know! I'm trying to learn what my options are. This is my first awd/turbo car. So far my plan (which changes daily) is:

drive 1000 mi

tbe with test pipe/single muffler, and ams downpipe

uicp

cosworth drop in

gauges.. if I recall I need two.. the turbo and af ratio

tune

I think that's the first step for me, I'm not sure... Seems like after those bolt ons the only other significant way in increase hp is to swap out the air intake, add a turbo swap on the injectors and fuel pump?

Really, I don't know exactly what to do, I've been trying to read up on it as much as I can... any advice feel free to let me know. I live near MC tuning in KC. I'm fortunate their near me. Sounds like people drive from out of state to see these guys. My tuner part I've got figured out, but other than that I don't know what's the best route to go

+1 to MC tuning, their great guys. Look into E-85, its probably the best mod you ll add to the evo.

congrats!

Hey, congrats on your purchase. I have been reading a lot on Evos vs STIs and I am leaning towards an EVO.

I also must have the sunroof and none of the 2010 GSRs in Denver, CO have this option.

Does anybody know if Evos ship with 6 sp manual? I miss driving a manual car.

thx

sunroof is only an option on the new 2011 gsr's..gsr's come with 5spd manuals. MR and the 2010 SE come with the SST 6 spd.

I would expect to see them in CA a week before the Midwest or East coast.

I was told my car would arrive (Missouri) the last two weeks of November.

I think it's unlikely you will see them next week, but not impossible since next week is November 1-7th.

The SS package is only (if I recall correctly) thirty some-odd dollars less than the SSS package at invoice... I think this is lame, but it is what it is.
I think you wasted your money on the Sight/Sound/Pass Key.
Congrats on your new car, when you actually get it.

I will use the HID and Stereo daily. I hope I didn't waste money on them. I was going off of what I found in the forum. Seems like people were unhappy with their lights unless they got HID. I didn't want to upgrade the lights right when I got it. Plus you get HID brights if you go factory. I live out in the country so the bright front lights will be helpful. I see what you're saying, the package should be cheaper, but I wanted all of it, so I had to pay it. I also don't want to mess with the stereo at all. Any extra money I put in the car is going to engine.. no 300lbs sub box in the trunk for me.. I here the factory sub is okay for a factory system.

I guess I am basing mine thoughts off the integrated controls. Definitely going with better HID Bulbs and the JDM dash kit. Have the Alpine IVA-w505 and JL Audio 500/1 and 300/4 that I will just swap for Fosgate amp. I have the drop in Navi and Blue tooth to the Alpine unit too. The first thing I had to do though is put dynamat in the rear of the trunk. If you apply Sub Base 3 or more the rattle from the subwoofer will annoy the crap out of you cause it will sound like your car is a tin can. I used the Dynamat sheets and the rattle is gone. I've got 2,000 miles on my car and I just got it on the 4th of Oct. So, to some I may be a newb but just relating my experiences to ya.

I have a question. With the mods list that you are thinking of you know you can save you money on the gauges right? You want need to really monitor anything until you actually increase the boost.

You could put that money towards something else.
