Ordered my 2011 today, thx everyone

Ordered my 2011 today ! Thanks for everyone that participates in the forum. If it were not for everyone's input here I would of ended up with something else.

I would of likely done an MR or an STI

I went with the GSR, leather/sunroof package, and Sight/Sound.

From what I've read seems like the GSR is the way to go if you're planning on significant modifications. Seems like most people want the 5sp with MR interior. I figured if I throw out the extra funds for leather and SS package it will make me happier down the road, literally.

I personally would not have done the leather or sunroof, but I've read enough threads here that lead me to believe it's the best for me.

I decided to go with white because I've read here that it's the fastest color.

I was surprised to see the leather sunroof package is only 1600 at invoice. It's cheaper than the SS package and you get the upgraded console/armrest too.

So, unfortunately for everyone looks like I'm going to be here awhile to pester everyone

we wrote down, signed and agreed to:

-no dealership stickers (don't understand why people leave advertisements on their car)

-no exterior or interior cosmetic prep, leave all the shipping tape on (I'm going to detail)

-do not install the front license plate (I will install)

Am I missing anything?

LOL!

Anyways congrats man! I`m glad your getting your car. Good call on leaving the plastics on however the front plate mount make sure you do it right, You dont want o be drilling in the wrong spot! And I hate when dealers stick those chrome stickies or stickers on your brand new car, it looks so tacky!

congratulations on the purchase. i'm hoping to be in your same position sometime next year with the gsr and the ss sl combo. when you snap some photos, don't forget to get a video recording of what this new updated exhaust sounds like. i'm guessing the price and everything was agreed upon so would you mind pm'ing me or letting everyone know how much you paid. i'm surprised the sl package is only 1600 and i would hope the ss package decreased since it's missing the other s

$31750 base gsr including destination/delivery/documentation fees. Excludes taxes and title fees. I live in MO, don't pay taxes or title fees at dealership

sunroof/leather $1602
sight/sound/pass key $1869

Total $35221 **********excludes tax**********

The SS package is only (if I recall correctly) thirty some-odd dollars less than the SSS package at invoice... I think this is lame, but it is what it is.

I just ordered my car a few hours ago, enough time has passed, need to start looking at modifications...

should I buy this used AMS downpipe? it's a couple hundred less than normal... I have not looked at modifications yet, but don't want to miss out on a good deal...

Wow. I can't believe the s/l package. I wonder how much it would be to order the leather interior. Hmm.. Have u seen pics of the new interior? Is it the same as the Touring package?

I did order the leather interior... it's $1602 (at the price I negotiated, msrp is 1850ish), the description is the same as touring (I think).. upgraded center console, extended armrest, leather heated seats, I thought there was one more thing... I might be forgetting something

Thanks for posting the prices, the price of the SL package is a bit less than I expected.

Have you seen MR pricing yet? please post base and premium msrp if you have, and congratulation on your GSR.

ooo congrats! This changes everything... I did not know that you could combine the SL and SS packages to create a super package! F!#@ Canada Mitsubishi for not even having HID options for the GSR.

I was just looking at the dealer sheets, but didn't pay any attention to the MR pricing...sorry. Your dealer should have them now. I can tell you they cut back some options.. for example you can't get the large wing on the MR, not even an option to add it on the '11 MR.
Another example of option change, unrelated to the MR, when looking at price options I tried to price with just the pass key, and just the stereo upgrade... they were not available independent of the package... on the 2010 you could order just the pass key or just the stereo if you wanted. You also can't do leather or sunroof separately. Everything is packaged together for 2011.
