I like the upshift indicator that comes in the M3's performance steering wheel... saw it the other day when I drove a friend's e92 and wished I could have one lol

They have had the ECO light on the JDM versions for a couple years now.Originally Posted by migs647

None of this stuff is new, just new to the US market.
Heh, we're always second
. They got the X in 2007, they got S-AYC way before us, they get the shift light (no big deal), /sigh. I guess we don't have that big of a market, but would be nice to get releases at the same time.

We got the X in 2007 as well, as a 2008 model year, just like Japan.Originally Posted by migs647

I had a X on the dyno for a baseline in Dec 2007.
If I recall correctly, I believe the Evo X release was at the same time in US and JP.
It wasn't the same time in Japan and US. Japan had a 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010. Unless they stuffed the 2007 and 2008 in the same year, they had it before us.
Here is a 2007 Evolution X: http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car...ion+x/7496559/
Looking further into this... it looks like japan does actual year releases while the US cheats. Anyone familiar with how japan releases their cars?

"The Evolution X went on sale October 1, 2007 in Japan, January 2008 in the USA, February in Canada (as the first version of Evolution in Canada) and in March 2008 in the UK. The Twin Clutch SST version was available in Japan from November 2007. Europe will follow with sales in May, GSR and MR version included premium Package."Originally Posted by migs647

3 months before US, close enough.

I've never seen a 2007 JDM ROM.

This is big news, at least in the north where I live. Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia etc. do not offer awd in a car of this category. It should prove to be very popular.
