I guess all their car should keep changing the body style except for EVO or basic lancers. People who buy an Outlander would normally keep is as stock forever. Lancer's buyer would change the bumper anyways.

Yeap, spoke with friend manager at local Mitsu, said higher ops form MMNA were there with them two days ago and they are about to begin the training for the new Outlander (2014)

Besides that, here's what he says the timeline looks like for Mitsu:

2013 (year)
April/May - 2014 Model Cars including: 2014 Outlander Sport, 2014 Outlander (next gen) 2014 Lancer (Evolution maybe delayed a couple months, according to what he heard)
November - 2014 Outlander Hybrid (PhEV), Mitsubishi Mirage/Colt

2014 (year)
January - 2015 Outlander Sport Hybrid
Summer - 2015 Lancer (10th Gen)
November - Montero back in the US, Galant replacement derived from current Infiniti Sedan base (not sure which sedan)

This is all I know at the moment... not sure about the Montero but if Mitsubishi is listening to their dealerships then this article might be a clue to the above... and maybe they really are bringing the new Shogun stateside.

Also the Nissan/Mitsubishi collaboration is old news, heard this last year...

No way that Infiniti collabo car is coming here. It is based on the Fuga/M35 and I think they are calling it the Proudia over there. Mitsu dealers will not be able to sell a $50K Galant that is an Infiniti knock off.

The Galant can be a stretch Lancer maybe using the Outlander's V6 or a Ralliart engine 2 and 4WD and upscale interior. But I haven't seen anything on it yet.

A New Montero would be...(superlative needed).

Besides the lack of a complete vehicle offering, this is the primary reason Mitsubishi has lost momentum in US market. When was the last time you saw an Evo on TV- and that is "supposedly" their halo car.

It will be Mitsubishi's first prime-time network TV advertising since 2005, Yasukawa said. He declined to say how much Mitsubishi would spend.

The Evo has only been on TV once in its history in the US. That was back in 2003 with this commercial called "Religion." My team (at Deutsch LA, their advertising agency) worked on creating that commercial

That commercial was the launch of the Evo VIII in the US.

That was the first and only time the Evo was ever on TV in the US. So, don't feel bad that the Evo hasn't been heavily featured on TV by MMNA.

the evo doesn't a commercial to sell. the new montero should be able to compete now since most SUV's will be having a V6 engine instead of the usual V8 like the 2014 full size range rover. note the 2014 MY because the 2013 will be the last V8 for the range rover HSE.

The reason I've said that is because of I-MiEV and other alike products.

When's the last time you saw a GTR commercial?

No manufacturer spends major bucks advertising a halo car. Oh sure, when the new Vette (and Viper) are formally introduced, they'll hit hard with ads, but after that itll be up to word of mouth and enthusisast fervor to sell it.

They'll push the Outlanders and everything else more.

Mitsu needs to do something and quick. The brand is falling off the map in the US. They are strong in Southeast Asia, and other regions of the world though.

As far as the Evo, you can fairly certain it'll have some sort of efficiency focus, just the same as what's expected on the R36.

They need to do something about the transmission problems. The notchy gears are annoying.
