Here in jamaica we have had the privilege of every model of evolution ever made and we all await the next generation with baited breath. With the cost of fuel here at a tank costing more than the national minimum wage an elecric hybrid solution is mighty awesome. Couple in the fact that the evo was intended to be hustled around corners and we have such twisty narrow roads, the torque boost from the motors would be heavenly.

If they added all of this it would loss its niche of being the best performance for the dollar. Which attracts buyers who could afford more but feel good knowing they didn't waste their money.

If mitsu wants to have a higher performance car with the some crazy tech bring it in a new form of the 3000gt.

True that - I can't even afford the current 'new' evo let alone a stock 500hp evo. :-/

all we need is
6 or 7speed tc-sst
2 electro engines with 80kw's (100kw's would be overkill imo)
and 300-350hp petrol burner.
A system combined of 515 to 565 hp.
In a hopefully 1750 kg shell. (DIET MITSUBISHI THINK OF IT)

Well we know that hybrid technology is way to expensive. Look at a POS Toyota. The batteries are 9000.00. Plus the batteries are made in same town in Japan where the earthquake hit. Major problems still going in there as we speak. Personally twin turbo 4cyl with fuel saver technology would be better that a hybrid set up. I am very anti hybrid person and I would for a dealer that sales Toyotas. I see the problems that most people don't. But I guess we will see.

Mitsubishi will not be dumb(?!) to remove steamroller part of its lineup just like that.
That Ralliart trim nameplate was there for a reason on X platform. And I think new Lancer trim will give a spiritual successor beside nameplate successor for Evolution, if you know what I mean.

Given the host of issues with the X, most of which Mitsu won't acknowledge, I'd be wary of dropping a large amount of money on anything new coming from them...

Same. I knew the ix would be the only mitsubishi i'd ever buy after my first scheduled maintenance.

TLDR:

Are there any facts at all in this thread before I waste any time sifting through the rumors?
