Mark
Reason for short time on the 04 cycle was Mitsu's trouble in North America. The guys now running the show cut production back as soon as they took over about a year ago. All the model lines for mitsu are going to be short runs for the 04 year. Regular Lancers are already done I have 40+ 05's on order now.

As for the radio, the MR does come with a stereo. Still no cruise, although like Mark said, most people won't notice it. It is way to much fun to drive to just hit the cruise.

They better bring all those goodies. If not I am just gonna get a regular evo and do a coilover kit. I really want those new seats and auto climate. I've been holding out for a long time for this car, mitsu better not mess it up. As if we haven't been short changed the S-AYC.

Driving friends Evos out to the track, cruise would be insurance that everything is kosher with the local authorities until the slicks go on and we hit the circuit. Instead I often get lead (ie first to get busted if I do anything stupid) on the way to the track to allow the cruise on the slocus to keep things legal. Minor thing. It's just looking at the MR as a weekend toy, cutting out of work to go to the track on Friday afternoons, cruise helps to keep things inexpensive on the way there.

As for the ipotty, prefer to burn a DVD, stick in in a head unit and forget about it. I don't want to screw with plugging and unplugging something when I get in and out of my car. Call me old, lazy, whatever, If I want to trailer a car to the track and mess with tuning/jacking with a car, I'll load up the mr2 and cruise comfortably in the tribute out to the track. But that is too much hassle to go out for a quick 20 min session before heading out to dinner. With cruise and DVD mp3s, I can take the MR to work on Friday, go to the track, head to dinner, then cruise the lake, all without repeating a song or getting a ticket on the way to the track.

One can dream can't he... Is that so much to ask.

they got most of the the important stuff right. i'll take ACD and an LSD over carbon inserts anyday. SAYC and an extra 40 hp would have been even better though...

I don't think I've ever remembered to use it when it would have counted.

Aside from a 6M,<Nice addition and ACD< not really necessary I don't think it's a big deal. Already my Evo has the rally gauges, alloy shiftknob, carbon handbrake, alloy pedals. I could add a lsd, and bilsteins. I'm quite happy with my 03 . It's not life or death to have the new MR, while unique I can't justify selling a perfectly good Evo and losing $$. My 2 Yen

Hmmm... I'm all for the RS... I've been obsessing over the MR for a while now, but it sounds like the only real difference is the 6/5 MT. Someone mentioned that the RS will not have a wing, though. Is the big CF wing still optional? or is the RS not coming with any wing at all?

A magazine was claiming the MR is over 150lbs lighter than the RS, and 300lbs under the "normal" Evo. Cant recall which mag it was off hand though...
If true, thats a huge + for the MR

The difference is 22 lbs. Between a JDM GSR VIII and JDM EVO GSR MR. Same for the entire range, rs to rs. Keep in mind the JDM VIIIs area had the 6MT and ACD SAYC systems. So the difference in the US will likely be even less.

I'm confused, why aren't they CHANGING the damn @$*@ tail lights!!!
The bigger cup holder is nice but it should be quite obvious to Mitsubishi
that everyone changes the tail lights given the chance!
