The bigger cup holder is nice but it should be quite obvious to Mitsubishi

I don't think it is meant to be an exhaustive list. There may be other changes. I hope they have the blacked out or even the VII stykle lights. I hope they have the JDM style seat fabrics. But the main performance improvements are coming I would just be happy. The cosmetic stuff is just that, nothing but fashion.

Mitsu seems to be listening now so send them an email.

It's scary to think though that if you the USDM MR doesn't come with the nice new blacked out lights, you could lose your drivetrain warranty by switching them out for other markets blacked out lights.

Mitsu is so close to batting a thousand, I hope some dumb internal marketing doofus doesn't screw up what it is Evos are intended for; Enthusiasts, jdm junkies, and bang for the buck folks.

How on earth did so many great cars get created without focus groups and commities? Shelby Cobras, Miura's, 356s.. Oh they new what they were doing, they didn't have to try and figure out things they didn't understand. Ahhh.. The MR is getting so close, and I'm starting a prayer vigil that Mitsu doesn't muck it up.

It'll be bad enought if they decided not to put the titanium turbos but the non-blacked out taillights draws the line.

Personally I'd rather have auto climate controls and no radio "but prewired like STi"

FOOD FOR Thought I Read an AUtoweek today it had a article about the FQ 330 talks about the domiance the car has over every car out there. Says it makes the MR look weak in comparsion. Too bad we never get anything the UK gets

I agree. Mitsubishi North America blew it with the Evo. Their market recognition was terrible and the commercials embarrassing. I wonder who the "dude" was that convinced Mitsubishi to market a 30K car to a 14 year old; just brilliant. If those guys worked for me, I would be passing out short swords. I do not have confidence that this management team ( ) will understand who are the MR customers.

Well consider the official specs aren't out yet we are just helping to decide on a final version of the MR They should appreciate the extra marketing opinions. You gotta love this forum.

I wanna let mitsubishi know that MR Edition Exterior badge should not be considered an accessory! Not a big deal for me but that is bad marketing If i was I would put the euro EVOLUTION VIII MR badge on the trunk to show people what kind of car is it. People always say, wow cool car. What is it again?

They are little behind the times since the MR fq-340 is out and soon the MR FQ 400 package will be out. But realize that the FQs are just a dealer installed, very expensive, but warranted aftermarket upgrades. You can make your own much cheaper fq type car with Vishun, Buschur, AMS, UR or Al pats and kits.

FQ are nothing like MR, VIIs or VIIIs or even trim levels like GSR, RS or RS-II. They are just kits created by RC developments and sold through UK dealers.

All that being said a 400 hp MR would be a hell of a ride. Just like Vishnu's one lap car, AMS'e car, RRE Evo and the Sparco evo.

I just hope that everyone is happy. I have been telling everyone that the MR was comming for the last 3 months. I'm just happy that Mitsubishi is keeping their end of the deal. I will be sad to see my 2003 weightless white Evo go. But i know when i transfer all of the Buschur stuff over, the car will be an amazing beast ready to tear the pavement off of the road. And by the way the headlights and tail lights don't bother me that much you can always change them the real important thing is the cup holder lol.

Thanks to everyone like me who has to know every detail upfront and keeping us updated on the NEW MR and 2005 Lancer Evo models. LETS KEEP DIGGING FOR MORE INFORMATION FROM MITSUBISHI

I'm Trading my 2003 Evo in I have 4500 miles i expect to get like 23-24 thousand any way you look at it your gonna loose money . But i have 8,000 aside to try to offset my losses on my 2003. Like i said your gonna loose $$$ just depends on the condition and mileage of your Evo.

Can't wait for my MR and i hope it comes in white

the only reason someone would get a MR is for track use. With the setup it has u would never notice the difference as a daily driver. Nothing some coilovers and some engine management wouldnt fix for the present EVOs. If you are the person who must have the newest thing . Just wait there will be used MRs for sale like crazy. And Mitsu resale values suck so u can probably pick it up for a good deal ( used with low miles). Ill wait for the Spec C if it ever comes here or the skyline.
