Hey Chris, you're still on the stock ECU, right? You've only gutted the stock MAS? Also, You're controlling boost with an EBC (Electronic Boost Controller) right? Are you using any kind of boost control solenoid? Factory? 3 port? Or is there no need with the EBC?

Sorry if I missed any of the above with the new setup.

yes, stock ecu/mas and as of yesterday my mas no longer has the honeycomb. I'm using a greddy profec b spec II which at 62% duty cycle = 32psi so there's room for more boost with it.

I don't like using the stock ebc...a good mbc or ebc is much easier to use.

I had a conversation with David and Dan Buschur on the phone earlier today and I've decided to pull the tranny and send it to Dan so he can do his magic to it. I think the stock tranny is damn good but when you start pushing it really hard at higher hp and powershift it's just asking too much. Dan will do a few key tricks so it'll put up with more abuse.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, so did you remove the stock bcs (boost control solenoid) when using an Electronic Boost Controller or just leave it (solenoid) in place? Stock boost lines and restrictors (bleed) or new boost lines and no restrictors (interrupt.)

Sorry to bug, just wanted to clarify on this big turbo/stock ecu setup of yours, thanks.

I unplugged the stock boost controller and only use the greddy profec b spec II with all new hoses without any restrictors.

i am truly amazed at what the stock tranny can hold up to with the number of launches you have done and the hp and torque you have thrown at it. good luck with the new tranny!

me too, it's been a trooper! I limped the car to my friends shop late last night. They are going to pull it for me (he owes me) and ship it to Buschur for the Bushwacker treatment. Dan said he was surprised it survived powershifting at that hp for so long and then I told him I just started doing that to it ...well there's your problem haha.

my friends shop D&B called for the shipping addy to Buschur so I guess the tranny is about ready to go out...no word on the clutch as far as whether or not the discs need to be replaced.

I did get my new DD tires/wheels in, this will free up a set of stock wheels for the slicks

will do

D&B just called said the truck is on the way to pick up the trans at his shop, they were supposed to get it yesterday but something came up. He also inspected the clutch discs and was surprised to see that they look like new.

haha you'd think some 7000rpm launches on drag radials would make it complain
