How to identify an Evo 9 turbocharger?

How can I identify if a Turbo was taken from an Evo 8 or an Evo 9? Is there a model, mark or part number that I can look for to identify it. A person is selling me a EVO MR turbo nut he does not know if it was taken from a 2005 or a 2006 model. Any easy way to identify it

Evo 9 turbo: TD05HR-16G6C-10.5T (same one in all US evo 9 models)

I believe the evo 8MR has essientially the same turbo: TD05HR-16G6-10.5T (not the same as the other evo 8 models, they have TD05HR-16G6-9.8T)

The big thing to look for is 10.5 vice 9.8 at the end.

I believe the compressor housing on IX turbos is also different than on VIII's, even when the 10.5 hotside is present. (I always thought they were the same, but was corrected recently)

From what I know the 9.8 hotside was used in 2003 & 2004. The 10.5 hotside was used in 2005 & 2006 but the compressors from 05 & 06 are difference. The question is how can I identify if one is from a 05 or an 06?

Compressor housing. Much larger on Evo 9. Space between the compressor inlet and the "snail" part. Hard to describe but easy to see side by side.
