Evo 5 pops and bangs

A question that's probably been asked alot of times

I've not been on in a while . I don't have sas I've done 3 cells across 3000 and 3500 neg 15 timing in the high ignition map and in the high octane map in the same place I've put the fuel set at 12 in same areas . If I'm stationary and blip the throttle I get nothing. Or does it have to be under load when driving

Kind regards

I think the issue is that the ECU is cutting fuel once you let off the throttle. Try feathering it a bit once the car is nice and warmed up. See if that helps.

not should be the same process. Do you have SAD hardware? If you are running Ceddy then you should just have to tweak your SAS settings so you still get fuel on decel.

I’ll do my best. Lol I’m still looking for some info but those minimum trigger settings are what is required to activate the system. So right now your engine needs to be at least at 81C, you have to be moving at least at 30kmh, and your old has to be above 150% for XX amount of time. Try setting your min load to trigger to 80 or 100, and set the minimum trigger time and valid trigger time to 1second. Also I would set your delays (fuel and air injection) to .1 seconds. That should give you some decent pops assuming you also have some negative timing and some extra fuel (think 11.5AFR) in your map. Just make sure that it’s only in the low load high rpm portions to avoid having it activate while you are cruising. There are some settings I’m not familiar with, what version of Ceddy are you running? There’s plenty of maps and other SAS setups that people have posted if you do a search. From there it may just take a little bit more tweaking to get the effect you want. Depends on if you want the big shotgun blast, burble or flames. I’m in the process of learning more about the different settings and am looking for exact answers as well but that should at least give you something to start with. Let me know how it works out!

I’ve got some more info for you btw. If you want to have more than -10 degrees of timing then you need to add a patch to the xml file. Easy as copy/paste.
