my thoughts...

1) stage 2 is hanging with evos from 20 mph roll and on, basically, anything that isn't causing the tires to spin from a launch, is good for a turbo lancer.

2) 1.8 second 60' times arn't to bad with an LSD, which im assuming mike is including with the price tag he mentioned.

ya know, the other thing is that we do infact drive A LANCER, whoa what? yeah, thats right we drive a very low priced (something youd get a 16 year old for his first car), very slow stock. sedan. the fact that we're pulling any kind of numbers over 180whp shocks me, and the fact that its not the impressive like an evo, or an STI or whatever like mike seems to keep complaining about in every single thread he comments on (sorry mike, i guess dont take what i say as harsg as it sounds???) doesnt shock me in the least either.

however, one thing i am worried about, and that is bang for the buck, so far it looks like 5 say yes it is and 1 says it isnt worth it (dont quote me on that i didnt check) and from this its making the turbo look a lot better in my eyes, and the dream of owning a brand spanking new fast-outta-the-box car is fading away, which is good, cuz i dont wanna spend anymore money on something when i can get the same effect for much cheaper, if you know what i mean please let me know haha

y don't u call us at RRM... Also it is best bang for you buck. What else for 4299 dollars is goign to put down close to 190ish whp... You can buy everything listed on our website and spend just as much for nothing even close to 190whp. Its also reliable, safe, and just needs a tiny bit more maintenance. If you serious give me a call at RRM. WE WILL CLEAR ALL DOUBT IN MIND!!!

think of it this way, you can get a lancer anywhere from like 10-16k, throw on a turbo with the right mods, and run with srt-4s which is also a FWD sedan all day, for an equal or cheaper price, reliably. I've heard of just as many srt4s which come turbo from the factory have problems and issues as i've heard of turbo lancers blowing up and whatnot. 98% of turbo lancer problems are install, maintnence, common sence errors, i mean, letting an oil leak go for months at a time or somethign stupid like that? what else do you expect??? Use your head, protect your investment, and have confidence.

lets not disclude other notable companies here: such as rpw's turbo kits which are a tad cheaper and come with cast turbo manifolds

also ripps sds stage2 is 4g's and put down pretty impressive numbers on an auto with slipping tranny so there are always options

I don't know about a lot of people, but I would much rather have a highly modified regular lancer, than a stock evo. EVO's are expensive and if I would have purchased one of them, I wouldn't have been able to put many mods on it (and I live for modding my cars) Plus, most modded cars turn more heads and get more respect (as long as they are done right). If you're torn between a new EVO, STI, SRT-4 etc, or a regular lancer with some good mods, I'd definitly stick with the lancer. You're killing 3 birds with one stone, you get to stay part of the modifiying community, have a fast car, and save some money too!

Dude, then me and you are most definetely on the same page.
I would much rather pay the money I could have spent on an
evo doing **** to my Lancer... others seem to think spending
money to mod up the Lancer is a waste.

I put down probably just as much or a little more power than a WRX... how do i know? cuz i smoke them most of the time. I basically put 14,000 k into my lancer to smoke a wrx that is i think about 20000, right?
