Just some info

Hey guys heres a lil info for you all, it's a dyno of a New 350 Z.. Now they say stock to the crank they put out 287 hp and 274 tq.. So heres the wheel results pretty surprizing, not to far away from a turbo'd Lancer.. Hmm I wonder how a turbo'd lancer would hang with a Z

A 54.7 HP Loss and a 47.9 TQ loss hmm and what lancers are ranging from 180-220 right? so maybe with an Bored TB a Straight pipe and possible turbo cam that might be a good race..i dunno I think the lancer could win a lot depends on the driver though....

The curve on that on the VQ35 is entirely too nonexistant. Not only can they launch harder, but they'd ALWAYS be in the meat of their powerband. I'm not sayin' a similar hp TC'd Lancer wouldn't stand a chance, but (as always) you'd be fighting an uphill battle. Peak tq/hp is one thing, but look at the big picture. YOu can't be at peak all the time.

hey guys so it'sbeen a week my turbo should be here very soon, umm spoke to the guys at the mitsu dealer I work for have them ordering me a few miscellenous pieces gaskets hoses bolts that type of stuff, $63 for that.then my wastegate, injectors, and fuel rail is coming from a friend for $100...I prolly won't use the rail aside from the fact it prolly won't fit so prolly sell that. the injectors are blue tip 450 cc's .... fuel pump should be here soon as well guy I was getting it from went on vacatiion for a minute so.. but no rush still need to raise a lil more cash up anyway for a fmu n S AFC that should run me another 330-350.. Looks like the total set up is gonna run a G and some change..... Still need to domy brakesand upgrade my clutch though so thats a few hundred more... I was going to try n save some money and just plugmyvacum line for the fuel pressure regulator but I decieded to just get a vortech as soon as I find out which 1 exactlly RRM uses all right guess thats all for now any thoughts let me know guys thanks.

Edit:Just got the FMU for $139 it's a Vortech 12:1

Hey guys aight I'm buying the AFC tomorrow now I just heard that the afc is weird to install on the lancer n doesn't exactlly work correctlly? so i know some of you have them installed did u have any problems ? also i'm planning to buy my injectors on friday n hoped to install them n the AFC over the (WE) but I also just heard that the 450 CC injectors out of an eclipse may not work... resulting in the car not turning back over, anyone have this problem? can someone shed some light on this subject please thanx in advance..

Edit:hmm no replies, well the turbo arrived guys it's at my friends house picking it up in a lil bit...so i'm going to check it all out tomorrow i have to go to my dealership with a shopping list of parts hehe shouldn't be to much when i last spoke to them it was 63 bills for the gaskets lines n misc nuts n bolts... but thats discounted.... so i can't give u an actual price (for those going custom)..well i'll let you guys now how the turbo turns out when i pick it up laters..

Edit: WoOhOo hehe I got it looks to be in good shape very little play n no damage to the blades but looks like i'm going to need a few more parts from my dealership so that means that 63 beans is gonna jump up some no biggie though... i'm actually kinda excited to get these parts from the dealer just to start building on it well thats all for now

I think you're going to run into injector problems unless that in-line resistor trick works. I dunno though. I don't know enough about this kinda stuff to say for sure, but that's how it seems to me.

ya hobie i'm not quite sure either but i believe the resistor setup should work, also i've decieded to do a minor rebuild on the turbo just going to replace the bearings to lose a lil shaft play that n i don't want to spit no oil or shoot the blades through the intake lol i'm going to try an get the low down on the injectors i'm gettin them tomorrow n the install may b over the weekend that n the afc and possibly my fuel pump it arrives by then... aight thats all for now gotta get back to work.

EDIT: Aight guys well it's friday and I just got my injectors, rail, wastegate, and S-AFC the install will prolly be done this sunday if the rail doesn't work i'll prolly just end up selling it the injectors seem to be in good condition no browness or any other nastyness the rail also came with a FPR so i cleaned all that up with some brake wash and a (cookie) lol well i call it a cookie it's a sanding piece for an air tool worked real good also used it to clean up spots for gaskets on the turbo.... still need minor nuts n bolts for the wastgate but everything seems to be coming along nicely, well hopefully the install goes well this weekend i'll let u guys know...
