Ok well got boost readings.......i have blitz dual TT. It said .43 Hkpa(?) was the peak. Im assuming thats not even 1 psi? Well i dont know what it translates too but im going to look it up. Havent had chance to look for exhaust leaks b/c car is super low to ground in front (evo VII extreme bumper [the one with the fat *** lip]). Also, i checked all the connections on the intake side; they seemed fine although i did tighten the turbo outlet (intake side).

I thought it would at least be an Evo guy playing the jackass. Check for exhaust leaks, THEN check for boost leaks. Exhaust are much easier to find. If it's post-turbine...don't worry about it for terms of boosting, but if it's before...you have a problem, and it certainly could explain the noise. If not you can either buy or make a pressure tester kit.

ok. Well from this post it says that an hkpa is equal to .07 psi. so (im a little rusty at math) but i should divide my peak (.43) by .07 and it would give me psi? if so its like 6.####### Not trying ot sound dumb; just reporting back with boost findings. I will check for exaust leaks too. I assume there is a post on how to build a custom pressure tester kit? (im going to search)

thanks again,
heath

I know that is what spools your turbine but I was saying if it is a little leak and you are reaching full boost, you don't have to worry about it, right?

Could it be an ECU or fuel delivery problem?

I don't understand why you can't get past 4k.

Nor do i; it just gets really loud; i thought it might be exhaust but wouldnt that be loud all the time? At low rpms (before 3k spool) i dont hear anything but the filter sucking and @ 3 i hear the waste gate open and it just stays on; ive checked vaccum lines; none seem to be kinked for bent and they are all on.

It's possible that oil is not feeding into the turbo...or an exhaust leak. One of my screws on the header went off and it was making a loud noise. So basically, the turbo is being held by just one screw! I couldn't drive the car past 4k rpms. I had midas check it out and they replaced the screw free of charge.

you should take a bunch of pictures of all your fuel/vacuum connections as well as pics of your wastegate/header connections. Also start the car and check the wastegate... is it dumping air at idle? If it is you forgot the sealing ring inside the wastegate. Sometimes it falls out in the box or during install.

From your boost it seems like your doing ok with leaks so i don't think that there's a problem but it is something to check. If you can't go past 4k and it feels like its hesitating you are most likely super lean on fuel. That means fmu might be connected wrong/damaged or the fuel pump may not be working right.

Do you hear the fuel pump at idle? It should be really loud and whining. Give us the answers to these questions and post good pics of the things above. The more the better. Thanks,

Boe

Will get pics in the morn. As far as the pump goes; hell ya its loud, sounds like a leaf blower thats off in the distance. And yes it is hesitation. I can keep it back by accelerating slowly but i still cant get past 4k. Hope to have them up on here in the early am.

If I read him correctly, he can't go past 4k because his hears can't take the lound noise the car makes.
