Just installed non-ic rrm turbo!
that still looks normal. turn your car on and see if any gas is dripping out. that also happened to me as well as everything else that could possibly happen.
if theres no gas coming out or if you dont smell any then spray down the hoses with something flammable that doesnt leave a residue and spray the vacuum lines and if the idle fluctuates then theres a leak.

...that doesnt leave a residue......like... alcohol (in a spray bottle) or ? im sure wd40 would leave one correct? Ok well boost seems a little better anyway but i still cant pull hard at all; still have 4k problem only its moved up a little to like 4.5k. Also my car is slower than when it didnt have a turbo. ie: my 0-60 is like 18 sec and my non turbo was like 12 sec flat. WTF? like i said im gona reassemble it saturday. not looking forward to taking the radiator and all that bs out but wth. gotta do what you gotta do.

that picture of the cracked vacuum line... did you change that out? Also is it possible to get some AF readings. Seems like your lean to me. without an EGT or AF gauge thouogh i i can't tell for sure.
Maybe pop for a dyno and see what's up. If you're going lean it's either a bad fmu or bad fuel pump. It has happened before though it isn't common. See what you can do to report the AF's.
I don't see a need to take the kit off at all... it drives fine right. Your just slower if you go into boost and at 4.5k you hesitate/stop accelerating right? Basically your running lean.

TRUE! lol almost bogs completely out if i try to red line. So i have to goto dyno for a/f? How much does a guage cost? easy to install? ill try to do what ever you ask before this week end so i can fix this. Should i send the FMU back to rrm? or the pump?
i had that problem with it staying at 4k when i was spraying gas outta my FPR hose. its because i unclamped and reclamped it so many times that it bend out of shape and didnt hold a perfect seal. might wanna check on those.
I just installed my wideband O2 meter. I suggest buying the Zeitronix. You can plug it in the computer (but you can get the cockpit lcd) and tells you accurately what you want. Boost, EGT, A/F, Lambda... I think boost and EGT are options though. www.zeitronix.com I'll see if I can get pics later...
You may not see the leak at idle or while reving... during boost fuel pressure can be as high as 70-80 psi. At idle/reving it's only 30-40psi. Big difference there.
Don't buy a cheap AF guage for telling your AF ratios. They don't work accurately enough. You'll either need a wideband for about 300 bucks or for 80 bucks hit the dyno and see what's up with fuel.
Hold off on sending anything back to RRM until you talk to them with a definitive problem. Right now you don't know exactly what is causing things we only have experience/suspision. If anything go to autozone and buy some 1/4" fuel injection hose. Then put that in with some new clamps if the old ones are worn. See if that takes care of things. You should never have any leakage on the fuel system.
Seriously though i don't see a need to pull your system off for a reinstall. I think there is a fuel component issue. Without AF's though we can't be sure.

Ok well i fixed all my starting problems today; seems my return line was kinda clogged. or feed line; but i cleared both of them and after about 10 hours of fiddling i got it to crank again. Still cant boost that high though. I know for a fact im leaking @ the stock fpr. Im going to buy the new hose tomorrow w/ clamps. Where is good place to get good price on Wideband? B/c if that will let you know what you need to know to help me keep up boost i will buy it. Just let me know. Thanks again for your help guys!
Well got new hose today; still didnt fix boost problem @ high rev. Still seems to cut out (meaning i feel like im hitting red line) at ~5k. This is really starting to **** me off. This car is way slower than before i put the kit on. Boost levels seem normal but acceleration sucks *** and so does the whole power spectrum. Yes, ive check all my vaccume lines, no i havent check for exhaust leak yet, waste gate just seems to open up and i just loose all power. It even bogs back, like the engine just stops or something (this is around 5k) the car is all pulling (a little, not much at all) and then it gets high rev and just stops trying. Today i was bringing in park and i was reving it up to red line to test it. Well sometimes it will go all the way other time it will just bog out at around 5k. After i did this the final time, my idle went to **** and start jumping all over the place, car was sputering like crazy and eventually died. I immediatly thought it was the plugs, changed them out with ngk's from advanced auto. They are gapped a little closer to .04 (not quite .04) (and yes i KNOW the req gap is .03) but i couldnt get the gap down. Like i said it just sucks ***, this car is slower than before it was turbo. Ive checked everything except exhaust but then again exhaust is not loud until waste gate opens then i seem to have a surge of power loss. WTF!!! *ANGRY FACE*
if you gap the plugs at .04 you should be ready for a new motor soon. You need to gap the plugs down to .03 if you can't then have someone do it for you. That is probably the problem. The boost is blowing out the spark due to the big gap.
What really gets me is you know what the gap is supposed to be but yet you just think that you can run it the way you want?? Step away from the car... smack yourself... then get it the way the instructions say!
If there is still a problem then we need to go further but you can't be a free thinker on anything when it comes to this kit.

Look; i didnt replace the plugs until today (its temporary) ok b/c the plugs from rrm are black as....well they are super black and they are causing my car to sputter. I had to replace them fast b/c we are having storms right now (goto weather channel and look at lower east side of the country). I havent been runing .04 gap the whole time. I was running the required plugs WITH the required gap and i still got **** for performance. I'm assuming now that it is the waste gate that is crappy. Either that or something with fuel; either way its something that came with the kit. Im not knocking it. I just dont see why i installed this thing correctly and still dont get any performace gains. I might as well just put my injen intake back one; i would have more power. But on the other side i guess i cant tell what is completely wrong b/c i dont have all the guages. I know the kit doesnt work with .04 gap but like i said its temporary. I will pick up new plugs in the morning. How can i check my fuel pressure? b/c i want to see if the fuel pump is working correctly. Can i just goto autozone and have them bolt on a guage to the end of my fuel rail or what?
Look the main problem is that i get up to 4-5k and the freakin wastegate opens and then its over; i cant do anything, sometimes the motor bogs out completely and i have to let off the throttle. If i ease into the acceleration its ok but by no means is it a performance gain.
